The 'Calvinist' God, generally speaking, is The Only God there is.

There is none good, no not one.

"Generally speaking" because He is not the "Calvinist" God.

He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who made everything that was made.
In other words, He is the God of Scripture. :)

There is no "Calvinist God". Dave, I know you know that. While I believe Calvinism best explains soteriology, the idea that created beings (us) can put all that is knowable about God into a neat little box is absurd. Even when we dogmatically believe something there must be some level of genuine humility.

Seems to me the true nature of Calvinist has reared. The three daves and allan condemning
The only God there is is not a Calvinist.

Thanos and the Christian Doctrine of Calvinism | The Elite

In the Avengers Infinity War, Thanos sees all of humans and humanoids alike as totally depraved, incapable of making the right choice without an all-powerful being coming in to bring order for these depraved retches. He pities them, and he chooses some by unconditional election to be his children, being taught by him and loved by him. The atonement he makes for the humanoids whom he spares was fully attained by him killing his only beloved child, Gomorrah. This was certainly a limited atonement since he had no intention of sparing all humanoids, obviously. He sees his choice in destroying half of all the life in the universe as a sign of his irresistible grace for those whom he has spared. Those who should be grateful, for after all this would not have ever happened if it was not for him willingly taking the life of his beloved daughter. Now those whom he has spared will persevere and prosper because of the balance he has brought to creation.

Thanos is actually Lesser Evil then Calvinist version of God.

Can you name one difference in Character?

I can name 1000s of things compared to God. I bet you can't name one. Its the exact same evil character.

You are alright with any evil as long as it can slap a label that says God on it.

In judgement day in front of GOD, He is going to ask you, You thought I was that? You thought my idea of mercy is this?

Fear can only take you so far, you have no true love of God, buying into every bad rumor you hear about him.

The One True God does not assent or acquiesce to man's understanding of God. God is not a Calvinist or a non-Calvinist. God is God.

As this thread has devolved into questioning...or approaching the questioning....that all Christians worship the same God it is closed.

If there is a need to explore a related topic, please feel free to start another thread. Perhaps by starting on the right foot it will fare better in discussing various understandings of God.
