JW's are a different problem. To quote their Bible, 2 Corinthians 3:17, "Now Jehovah is the Spirit, and where the spirit of Jehovah is, there is freedom." Notice their use of "Spirit" and "spirit." First is getting a JW to see that the Son of Jehovah is also Jehovah, John 1:18 in Genesis 12:7. And Jesus is man's sole access to Jehovah, John 14:6. Etc.

ture, but a belief in a created Holy Spirit is impossible for any born-again, Bible-believing Christian. This is the point of the OP.

There were some of the "Orthodox" Church fathers who hesitated to call the Holy Spirit "God"; as there are some "Evengelicals" who say that John 1:1, can read "and the Word was god"!

Thanks. Interestingly, all three Persons of the Trinity are described as the authors of Scripture:
Matthew 1:22. 'So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet......'
Hebrews 10:5. 'therefore when He [Christ] came into the world, He said.......'
Hebrews 10:15-17. 'But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before.......... then He adds, ........' [see also Hebrews 3:7 etc.]

LOL, repeating your opinion as if it mattered is a sign of pride, not scholarship.
    1) Your OP claimed if you believed wrongly you were hell bound. Thus the OP includes salvation.
    2) No one is disputing the NT teaches the Holy Spirit is a distinct Person of the Trinity.
    3) What is in dispute is your claim that mistaken views about the Trinity consigns a person to hell, but without scriptural support.

I am saying God chooses who He will save, based on Him crediting or not the person's faith in God and His Christ. Scripture says everyone believing in(to) Him (Christ) will not perish but have everlasting life. And we know we must believe in the One who sent Christ to be saved. But I have not found where scripture tells us we must have perfect understanding. (Romans 11:33)

Your opinion is based, it seems to me, on speculation.

Does Christ accept less than desired belief and commitment? Yes. Recall Jesus wanted Peter to love His sacrificially - willing to die for Christ - yet Peter was then only willing to love Jesus as a friend, brother, companion. John 21. But Jesus uses broken reeds, people with flaws, weakness, imperfections. Jesus accepted Peter, just as he was, and put him into service, as the foremost apostle.

Every Cult denies both Jesus and the Holy Spirit are God!

    No.
It is just more convenient that rebuilding an argument from scripture every time I am asked about a summary of core beliefs.

I am skeptical of that claim.
I assume you take issue with some part of "God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God"

In any event, I actually prefer the Heidelberg Catechism for its 'question-answer-scripture reference' structure.

Sure it is, when you say that no one can disagree and be saved.

More accurately, the Holy Spirit is Yahweh the Spirit, which is kind of a weird way of speaking, since you find that kind of speaking no where in the Scriptures.

Yahweh is a name of God in the Bible. To say that the Spirit is Yahweh is saying the Spirit is the Father, and that ain't so.

Of course. It's grace through faith that saves, not the correct understanding of the Persons of the Trinity.

If one brought a turtledove as a sin offering instead of a lamb, did he receive forgiveness?

No. Yehweh is not (only) the Father, He is the triune God. One 'What;' three 'Whos.' The Father is Yahweh, the Son is Yahweh, the Holy Spirit is Yahweh.

not so. Each Person in the Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as being distinct, have the Name Yahweh. They are completely equal in every way, as the Name itself says.

God is One Being, and the Bible says that there are Three Who are Yahweh, hence we have the Biblical Teaching of the Holy Trinity. 1x1x1, which is 1. And not, 1+1+1, which is 3

you are missing what I have said. You do not have to be a Trinitarian to get saved. But, after you are, and are shown by the Holy Spirit, that the God of the Bible is Three in One, and this is rejected, then that person cannot enter heaven, as their view of God is false.

Jesus says in John 8:24, "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.”

By This Jesus means, I AM GOD, which will also be true of the Father and Holy Spirit, as the Three are One. Rejection of this is eternal damnation.

this does not mean that there is only One Person Who is Yahweh, as Scriptures says that there are THREE distinct Persons Who are equally Yahweh
