It is not possible in this vile flesh for any human to not yield to temptation a WHOLE lot(and that is putting it mildly) - saved or lost.

Why pray "lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"? But with your attitude, it would be a sin for you to pray that doubting as you do.

Both, but I keep my sin in the temptation realm and shut it off praying the Lord's prayer as I do.

Wow! You have a WAY prouder attitude about your abilities than the apostle Paul had.

Romans 7:15-23 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.2For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

The answer to sin is the standing of God's elect in Christ Jesus and His righteousness that God has imputed to them, outside of any action on their part in resisting temptation, or any other human action.

Whatever is not of faith is sin. Also, Paul is describing unregenerate life under the law.

As I said, if you want to sit under preaching about the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, I will be glad to direct you to such. I think I have done what I personally can for you in this thread.

Have a nice remainder of this Saturday.

Was Paul semi-pelagian? That's where it comes from.

So you can make sin an acceptable lifestyle? No thanks.

I have been having a little bit of fun here - but game time is over

But I do have some serious question for Dave

    1) May a person who is in involved in an abortion -allowed to join a church,
    since they participated in murder.
    2) May a man who has lusted after a women be allowed to join a church,
since the Bible says that is the same as adultery
    3) May a person who has lied in Court under oath - be allowed to join a church
since he swore before God to tell the truth
    4) May a person who hates his brother be allowed to join a church,
since the Bible says that is the same as murder.
    5) May a glutton be allowed to join a church,
Since that is one of the deadly sins.

    6) So a man and woman get married - a year later they divorce (no kids)
later they both re-marry - and the 2 couples now have children.
Would you suggest that those 2 couples divorce their new spouse and go back
    to their first spouse?
    6) would it make a difference if the marriages happened before salvation?

    7) So a couple who are married - and both previously married - would they be allowed to attend your church - or they just cant be members?

8 A couple are married, get divorced - never married someone else - no kids involved - and the re-marry each other ---Would they be able to join your church?

Yes, these are very serious question.

Would you not be showing just a bit of pride here? And would that not be considered a sin? Just asking.

We are talking about churches that promote adultery through divorce and remarriage. Not about Churches that take a stand against abortion and accept repentant members.

    1) you did not answer the questions that directly deal with only divorce
    2) I am now talking about the other issues - as the OP does not limit

So why not just answer the questions.

My only beef is with churches that promote adultery. If someone has an abortion and repents, any church opposing abortion is suitable. And far different from those promoting adultery.

We already discussed Matt. 19:9 in-depth to the extent you could not give a defence for your views.

If you want to engage me in a discussion, list one at a time until we exhaust it. Confusion helps hide the results from the curious reader. What's your first question?

Evidently, this is too hard for you to do.

    So, I am pulling out.

If you are bold enough to defend your views, state them one at a time so we don't get confused. It sounds as though you might not have the goods you think you have.

What church promotes adultery? Is it a part of their marketing scheme endorsing sexual promiscuity?
Moreso, how does that support your contention that you have and always completely surrender all to Jesus?
How about Hebrews 10:25, how are you doing with that?

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
