    One more falsehood to add to our dustbin pile. God is the uncaused cause, thus in the final analysis, everything comes from God. Does that boiler-plate bromide move the ball? Nope.
    How many times have I answered this question? Probably dozens.

    The elect, those chosen for salvation, are chosen "through" faith in the truth. Thus our faith came before, repeat before, repeat before, repeat before, our election. None of those denying 2 Thessalonians 2:13 ever address this fact?

    Was every elect person once not a people chosen for God's own possession? Yes. Do those denying 1 Peter 2:9-10 ever address this fact?

    Are we to believe God instills via irresistible grace "unrighteous faith" which then needs to be credited as righteousness? This is the sort of nonsense these deniers of scripture post.

    I could go on but it is pointless as these posters are allowed to deny the very words of God with their "taint so" posts.

    The point is you appear to be blaming God if you don't do what He has appointed you to do; Ephesians 2:10.

    If we do what we are supposed to do, WE get a reward, not God, and if we don't WE suffer loss, not God.

    I know nothing about any 'dime a dozen' false accusers that are ruining this board, but it rather seems to me you are attempting to be a penny a half dozen, apparently trying to be a false accuser of me. I don't know what you are, but I know what I am, and what I am is a Bible-Believing Christian. I read my Bible daily and have for many years and will until the day I die. I trust Christ and Christ alone for my salvation. What are YOU?

    Faith is a "gift" of God only as we read or hear Scripture, "FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD."

    In no other way is it a gift.

    James said if any man lack wisdom, "...let him ask in faith, nothing doubting..."

    He did not say, "Let him ask for faith...". He said to "...ask in faith..."

    So, James WHERE do I get this faith? Does God throw it on me like candy from a float in a parade?

    "No!", says Paul. "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God!" And Paul might add,

    "Why can't you get that through your head? The GIFT of God is salvation, received by faith, and you got the faith by hearing the Word of God, because God's Word does not return to Him void. It convicts, it converts, OR it condemns."

    You need to get it thru your head... The gift is not Salvation and I've heard this since I first joined... Now lets right this ship... The gift of God is Jesus Christ who is Salvation... His Birth and Life, His Faith, His Righteousness, His Sacrifice, His Blood, His Death and Resurrection... Its not your perseverance in faith or your merit... Its Jesus Christ's merit alone and Gods mercy... Brother Glen:)

    Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

    26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

    27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

    28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

    29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

    30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

    31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

    32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

    33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

    btw... I can hear the wheels turning... See it says he gives mercy to all mankind... Those he given to his Son to save he shows mercy. the others he shows justice!

    And to #86, the gift of God is not faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. DO YOU DENY IT?

    Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. DO YOU DENY IT?

    Have you heard the “Ghosting” new term for being ignored? The board is ghosting … not this guy. He is being obstinate. Probably taught by the “Name It & Claim It” supporters. Full Bible Schools have legitimized that thinking… unfortunately. BTW, we are Hyper Calvinists LOL!
