    So you really have no support for your view. Out of context quotes do not help you BF.

    Now BF you know that is not true. You are just upset because I won't believe what you say.

    I have shown you that context does not support your view but you just stamp your feet and keep saying, but I want it to be true. But as the saying goes "facts don't care about your feelings"

    As long as you ignore context you will continue to misuse and misunderstand scripture.

    This is in the context of scripture which you reject:

    11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

    Context
    the parts of a written or spoken statement that precede or follow a specific word or passage, usually influencing its meaning or effect

    If you are going to take
    Rom 3:11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS; THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS AFTER GOD.
    As factual, which you do. Then you have to take
    Rom 3:13 "THEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN TOMB; WITH THEIR TONGUES THEY HAVE PRACTICED DECEIT"; "THE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS";
    As factual which I doubt you do.

    That is why I have said that Paul's is using hyperbole to point out to the Jews that they are no better than the Gentiles they look down on.
    BF your approach to scripture is "eisegesis" you are reading into scripture what you need to find.

    I am reminded of Bogart's line, first they knock my teeth out, then kick me for mumbling.

    Here again is the truth, some of the lost do seek the God of the Bible according to scripture. Many were seeking the narrow way that leads to life. Or what do I need to do to obtain eternal life. And so on and so forth.

    Verses that teach that some of the lost some of the time seek the God of the Bible:
    Exodus 33:7
    Matthew 13:18:23
    Luke 13:24
    Matthew 19:16-22
    Matthew 23:13[

    Romans 3:10-12
    as it is written:
    “THERE IS NO RIGHTEOUS PERSON, NOT EVEN ONE;
    THERE IS NO ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS,
    THERE IS No ONE WHO SEEKS OUT GOD;
    THEY HAVE ALL TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME CORRUPT;
    THERE IS NO ONE WHO DOES GOOD,
    THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.”

    Romans 3:11 makes this statement and some read this as saying "there is none who seeks out God at any time." However the intended contextual message might be "there is none who seeks for God all the time,. Or, option three, "there is no one who seeks out God when sinning. Thus we are all under sin.
    Contextually, since Paul is saying "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) our third choice is most likely the inspired message.

    Ask yourselves, what were they doing before they "turned aside?"
    Ask yourselves does scripture teach the lost are able to give "good" gifts to their family?
    Thus at any time is clearly precluded by the context as a viable interpretation.

    Scripture has many examples of lost people seeking God such as the rich young ruler. Or many try to find the narrow way that leads to life.

    Note Romans 9:16 where salvation does not depend on the one who wills. Clearly the one who wills is seeking God. Then look at Matthew 23:13 and the fallen who were in the process of entering the kingdom, again were clearly seeking God.

    Folks, when the many were seeking the narrow path that leads to life, they were seeking God at that time. Thus the fictional claim none of the lost ever seek God unless enabled by irresistible grace belongs on the dust bin of history.

    I am reminded of Liam Neesen line… the ability to speak does not prove intelligence.

    If all these non-responsive spam posts were deleted, perhaps this thread would not need to be closed?

    Exodus 33:7
    Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, a good distance from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the LORD would go out to the tent of meeting which was outside the camp.

    Matthew 13:20
    “The one sown with seed on the rocky places, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;

    Luke 13:24
    “Strive to enter through the narrow door;
    for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

    Matthew 19:16
    And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do so that I may obtain eternal life?”

    Matthew 23:13
    “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut the kingdom of heaven in front of people; for you do not enter it yourselves,
    nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

    Those that worshipped the idol to the unknown god on Mars hill thought they were seeking God, but weren’t.

    Any instance in scripture that says people were seeking God, they were responding to special revelation, not general revelation.

    Some simply do not understand Roman’s 3:11 because they are blinded by an obsession with opposing the doctrines of grace.

    They approach every verse looking to redefine the words and phrases to fit their obvious bias.

    The truth of God’s Word will remain obscured by such bias.

    Just believe believe what scripture says. There are none that seek God. All have gone astray.

    There is no need to add words…. It doesn’t say there are none that seek God while they are sinning or there are none that seek God all the time.

    Just accept what scripture says. Embrace the truth of the doctrines of grace and find peace.

    peace to you

    Once again, we see posted disinformation? Scripture says, Exodus 33:7, the lost were seeking Yahweh, the God of the Bible.
    No scripture says those seeking God did not gleam some understanding of God's invisible attributes from what He has made.
    I have presented an understanding of Romans 3:11, no one seeks God while sinning.
    I have not redefined any word, but use the historical meanings found in lexicons and translations.
    I have presented the Truth of God's word, posting scripture after scripture. All of which has been ignored.
    Again, where were they going before they turned aside and went astray? :)
    There is no need to add words, like "at any time or ever" because many verses preclude that interpretation.
