It is Christmas Day in many parts of the world now, as we here on the west coast of the United States slip into Christmas Eve.

It was hot in Australia today. In New Zealand our daughter went to the beach with her host family for Christmas. Here it was blustery and stormy and chilly. But for all of us who are children of God by adoption through His precious Holy Spirit and because of the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, this day is special from the inside out. Our hearts respond with thoughts of thankfulness and awe at what God has done for us.

Woodrow Kroll, on the "Back to the Bible" calendar, remarks of Dec. 25, "God didn't invade time to give us Christmas. He invaded time to give us Christ."

    Amen.

And God bless you, every one.

Thank you for starting this, Helen! I came on to wish everyone a merry Christmas, when I found your thread.

I hope all of you who celebrate tomorrow have a wonderful time, filled with family and friends.

Hanukkah goes another two more nights. if you could be here, we could all have latkes together! I could dream!!

A wish and a prayer that this Christmas Day is filled with joy, with peace, and with happiness for all of your dear ones. May God bless.

I heard the bells on Christmas day
    Their old familiar carols play
And mild and sweet the words repeat,
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

I thought how as the day had come,
    The belfries of all Christendom
Had roll'd along th' unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bow'd my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong, and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
    "God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."

'Til ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
    A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!

    A servant of Christ,
    Drew
