I believe the basic church congregations as seven...
Candlesticks - Seven church congregations - The seven churches - Revelations 1:20
Stars - Individuals within the congregations, all held in the right hand of Christ
Seals - The seven seals sealed each congregation within the lambs book of life
So I believe the church congregations as seven and Christ walks in the midst of all of us. This forms one church, but there are many differences among us...
Messianic - The original church
Martyr - Oriental church beginning with Paul
Pergamos - Orthodox church beginning at Constantinople
Thyatira - Catholic church beginning at Rome
Sardis - Protestant church beginning in Germany
Philadelphia - Revived church beginning in England
Laodicean - Materialistic church beginning in America
It is an amazing thing for me to see "Life with Passion with Father Cedric" on the TBN channel. I rate him an excellent Christian and speaker and wish him well. It is an incredible thing for me to see him on a channel such as TBN.

Therefore I believe that Calvin, Father Cedric, RW Schambach, Jacobus Arminius, and folks like Paul Crouch saved and part of the church Christian. Saved? Yes! Issues? Yes? Even though I believe him saved I would not care to visit Father Cedric as I have no interest in joining the Catholic church. Even though I believe him saved I would not care to visit John MacArthur as I am not a Calvinist. RW Schambach? Let me grab my KJV and lets go!

Just for the readers of this thread:
The commandments were mentioned in this thread and it is important that distinction is made.
God did not revoke the Ten Commandments they are very much still in effect. -
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:36-40).
The point of these essays is to prove the Roman Catholic Church is NOT Christian because they purposefully, willfully, intentionally break the commandments of the very God they claim to love, worship and serve.
Such hateful disobedience is the opposite of the love they claim to hold in their hearts for the Lord.
"Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him........If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me" (John 14:21, 23-24).
The Revelation of Jesus Christ identifies the Roman Church as Mystery Babylon, her Pope the Antichrist. Rather than being the home of Jesus and His Father she has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird (Revelation 18:2b).
What I find incredible is the number of professing Christians who refuse to see the evil in this 'Church.' -

I haven’t read that the 10 were extinct under the new covenant. Did I miss something? -

Now it seems to me that our current calendar is not based upon the Jewish calendar though we still recon a week as 7 days.. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.
Out rest day happens to be after six days, but we call it the first day of the week rather then the last.
More important though is the rest of the command. NO work. But folks can engage is all manner of fleshly excess????
Nope, I don't see this commandment being modified or done away with, only which day is chosen as the "Sabbath." -
-
One person regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. -
I do not have issue with sda or 7th day Baptists keeping sat as their Sabbath, but becomes heresy when they try to impose it as a standard of salvation, as must be kept to even be saved! -
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and truth.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
The Holy Spirit is active every day. The truth is not limited to one particular day either. Christ is with us when we gather, no matter the day. -
Eating the flesh and blood of Jesus explained in simple terms using the Roman Catholic Bible
Proper hermeneutics requires context and basic knowledge of grammar. Jesus uses metaphor in John 6 as well as in several other famous passages where He likens himself to a door, a vine, a good shepherd, a light, bread, etc. Consider the context of John 6.
Jesus explains He is the true bread from Heaven, far superior to the manna which only sustained the body temporarily. Jesus, on the other hand, sustains the soul, giving it life eternal because Jesus is the ‘living bread.’ The bread which Jesus gives is His flesh. Eyes of faith and belief in His Gospel are the means by which we metaphorically ‘eat’ Jesus.
“And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son [with eyes of faith] and believeth in him [through hearing the Gospel preached] may have life everlasting. And I will raise him up in the last day” (John 6:40 Douay-Rheims).
Jesus explains that ‘eating His flesh’ and ‘drinking His blood’ are to be understood metaphorically and spiritually. They are not literal because eating literal flesh is of no value toward gaining eternal life:
“It is the spirit that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life” (John 6:63 Douay-Rheims).
And drinking literal blood was forbidden, according to numerous OT Scriptures. For example, “If any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people” (Leviticus 17:10).
To this day Jews celebrate the Passover by eating the Passover Lamb. One day many will come to the revelation Jesus was the fulfillment of this OT type, converting to Christianity.
