    How do you handle this.
    </font>
    • You pray that Christ shines His light on Judas</font>
    </font>
    • You pray that Christ shine His light on His enemies and those He has specifically damned.</font>
    1 Sam 3:14 Therefore, I swore to the house of Eli, `The guilt of Eli's house will never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.' "

    Thanks padre. :cool: My first bullets in action! :cool:

    So you do not limit the 'all' is that right? :cool:

    Another thing here is that for some reason you imagine you are a saviour or something? You say you do not limit the 'all' otherwise I might not have a chance? What is this? Because you don't limit the 'all' I stand a chance?
    I told you you should spend more time on your responses you leave yourself open 'all' the time. That'all' by the way means when you open your mouth.

    You are welcome, johnp. The tea is on you next time. However, if you could refrain from calling me padre. I've been told it is offensive. You can call me by my new benign screenname ***** or "the poster formerly known as padre".

    I will now retreat to lurking mode.

    Is word study on the Greek that scary??? :rolleyes:

    Should I be holding my breath???

    OSAS,

    They don't need greek... they have WEBSTER'S dictionary ! Don't you know that the N.T. was actually in english? And hermeneutics? Don't need that when you can just string together any word search and force your own meaning into the text.
    And who cares if they went to school. Don't you know all their teachers were wrong? Don't you know the student knows more than the teacher? Those old fuddy duddy's teaching Calvinism just can't keep up with the good ol' pragmatic, relativistic thinkers of today!

    So what you are saying rc, is that I wasted all these years gathering up different bible translations, commentaries, acedemic text, theological journals, dictionaries, and who knows how many books on how many detailed subjects filling (2) 6 shelf bookcases for nothing???

    All I needed was a Websters and some imagination?

    I went to school for nothing?

    I am upset with you now rc. You should have told me all of this 29 years ago. I need a time out, I am feeling very hurt right now.

    Oh johnp, what Calvinist worth their salt holds their breath for an Arminian? hahaha...

    Actually rc, ILL is correct. It was condemned in the:

    ACLU/moveon.org confession of liberal truths exposing God's lies and biblical errors of 2004

    Sorry to have to break it to you like this...

    Watch what you say OSAS...
    Some Arminian not knowing grammar (typical) will take your sarcasm and think it to be fact. Then twenty years down the line every one of them will be using your statement in debates !

    Why are you so hung up on that statement. In History, virtually everything Christian has been called heresy, what's so special about Calvinism?

    Still trying to get out of it aren't you?

    And no. Actually, according to the councils, there weren't to many, because people adhered to the councils. As many councils (limited amount) is as many heresies .

    Mostly they can easily be paired into two groups...

    The diety of Christ (trinity)
    And the depravity of man. (free will)

    ILL made it a point of fact that Calvinism (which is a term for what the Church believed on record at least since 418 a.d.) has been condemned as heresy. I want proof that's all. If it is so common and factual, why is it to hard to come up with one?

    rc;
    You must be European. There is the rest of the world who while they didn't have Calinism they did have the Gospel in Egypt, Alexandria, and Antioch. Of course you knew that
    By the way My Salvation makes me part of the Church. and I proclaim that Calvinism is Heresy

    Sola Scriptura is the counsel that we should study and have rule our lives as Christians.

    Some may still want to let the R.C. church rule their minds through councils. Which ones do you reject?

    Do any believe in the Assumption of Mary?
