Anna's Heart...and ours!

Her cardiology appt. keeps moving. Right now she has a mild case of the flu and we haven't had to use any nitro on her, which is amazing and a great praise! Please pray this continues.
I'm trying to keep my husband from getting the flu because he has some heart problems and they've been acting up enough that he's got an appointment scheduled in March. So far no flu. ANOTHER PRAISE! Would you believe that there's seven of us and he's the only one who didn't get it?! PRAYERS WORK! Just wish I would have prayed NONE of us got it. DUH. That'll teach me...
Mine...we're seriously not PURPOSELY trying to be the sole provider for our cardiologist's income, but mine has really been doing some amazing tricks lately. I had the flu which triggered my asthma and the medication for that triggers my heart, so I've not been able to go to work or cook or turn over or say boo or even breathe without my heart going nuts. My appointment is Tuesday.

 

Thanks. Anna got a few sniffles and that her "flu." LOL Very nice, I was pleased! My hubby didn't even get that much, so they were both blessed.

My nailbeds have been turning blue and they called to cancel my appointment because the city is shut down because of a blizzard. It's almost comical how no matter what, something always stops us from being seen when it's most important!

 

Well that was interesting.
My prior doctor failed to tell me that a couple years ago, tests showed a blockage of over 50% on one side in my carotid artery. I'll soon find out what it is now. I knew it was enlarged and my CRP levels are through the roof, but was told by the same doctor not to worry about it.

 

I had all the tests the other day. I go back in March for the results unless they see something critical and I highly doubt that.
I watched the echo and ultrasound and from being familiar with them thanks to Anna, was pretty happy with what I saw and with what I didn't see. Now that just has to be confirmed by the doctor.
I know the CRP level is still insane though and that it doesn't do my heart any favors. Fortunately I now have a highly recommended and well-spoken of cardiologist. I trust him.

Anna had to have nitro again a little while ago...I really wish our cardiologist would see her, but he doesn't see children.

 

Updates on all...

Carl: awesome report and that makes me beyond happy. He has a leaky valve and I was concerned it could be getting worse. It's still just weird to put my ear to his chest and hear that, freaks me out.

Anna: heart problems OTAY! No concerns there, but she does need to see a vascular specialist and they usually only see the elderly because that's who has the problems she's having, so they haven't managed to find one yet.

Me: Blockage gone (yay! thank you krill, CoQ10 and grapefruit juice!) and cholesterol is fine but CRP is now in the 20's and the holter monitor showed episodes they're concerned about even though I thought nothing happened while I had it on. I go on Monday to talk.
