I haven’t heard of any severe symptoms beyond the one death
suspected by omicron cv ... but most infected are cv vaxed.
Of course, by now most are cv vaxed, so if there is no significant protection by the cv vax, it’d stand to reason cv vaxed would have more infections than non cv vaxed.
There are several in the hospital.
Protection by virtue of a vaccination depends on how long ago people were vaccinated.
With the Delta varient we know the vaccination offers protection up to a year (but decreased after about 6 months).
We know the same is true of "natural immunity".
The best case for the unvaccinated is "natural" and acquired immunity are equally effective.
Even here, though, the covid survival rate is too low for immunity via infection to be a good idea.
I think Delta is still the major concern (as Delta makes up 99% of new cases in the US).
Most dying are unvaccinated.
Perhaps it is just a coincidence that the category dying the most are unvaccinated.
Maybe they would have been dying at a higher rate regardless.
I am not opposed to developing alternate treatments. Looks like Pfizer's covid pill may be promising.
But the anti-covid-vaxers are a political group.
They will accept no treatment if it is a product of science or if their political party is not the party in power when it is advocated.
Ill get the source doc when i can.
But this professor was one who was doing the research.
The face checker is wrong or this guy lied
which is more likely?
i recognize the implications for one who has jabbed. I think there’s treatment to neutralize this but it probably needs to be engaged soon (first year is the estimate)
Dr. Reamer (sp?), national expert on clinical documentation improvement (CDI) and ICD-10, reported that no animal has died from the vaccines in the animal trials.
Typically the animals are destroyed after the trial is completed.
I think the most likely explanation is neither lied, but the source at the vet school was repeating what he or she had heard.
I can’t speak for anyone but myself. I agree with all you just said but…. That is not all you are saying.
You are attacking those you call “anti-vac” as anti-science along lines of flat earth believers, when they are following the science that those recovered from COVID-19 have better and longer lasting immunity from the virus and variants than those vaccinated, that vaccinating children is unnecessary risk (based on the science) and that requiring children to wear mask/shutting down schools will likely harm an entire generation of children in ways we won’t even realize for decades.
Add to that your outrageous gas-lighting comments and hard feelings are quickly generated.
Not all, but I am some.

about covid being a Freemason plot, a New World order to decrease the population, etc.
Those are conspiracy theorists.
Then we have some anti-vaxers who believe the vaccines do not protect against covid, that genome sequencing is a myth, that mRNA vaccines are gene therapy, that they alter DNA, etc.
These deny science and are like flat-earthers.
I am not speaking to those who reject a shot because they believe the risk of the shot outweigh the risk of the virus.
That is not denying science.
That is making a decision based on information.
Yea....That is one I did not consider.
I was familiar with mRNA, but the J&J vaccine had possible issues early on. Still, chances are low of the adverse effect (.001%) and it was listed as a known possible side-effect.
I just wasn't too keen on taking a traditional virus based vaccine for a virus we knew so little about.
