Are Abortion and Euthanasia Morally Equivalent?

I started a thread about abortion and wondered if it would be the same in the other spectrum


On that thread the question was if a Christian should support a platform that allowed people to decide whether abortion on demand.

5 members voted "no", 1 voted "yes".

Going off that, should adult children be allowed to euthanize their elderly parents to keep them from being a burden?

Is there a moral difference between abortion as birth control and euthanasia for convenience?
