    "The Biden administration is planning to give carmakers more time to ramp up sales of electric vehicles amid weak demand for EVs, according to a report by the New York Times.

    The administration is planning to delay a requirement that auto companies quickly increase their sales of EVs in the next few years until after 2030, the Times reported citing people familiar with the White House's plan."
