Good morning folks! Some of you may remember me from before the Great Flood. I have been away on a sabbatical for the past 6 months or so. But now I am back, for better or for worst. :tongue3:
Lady Sue, do you have some Classic Coke in here? (My taste buds must have been altered since my encounter with the Russian Flu, so I no longer favor Dr Pepper). By the way, good to be back, and I see you are doing a marvelous job keeping this place neat and in oreder! :type:

Barnabas!!!!!!!! Welcome back! I was afraid you were gone forever!!!! Boy! Have you been missed!!! Yes, I have Coke Classic. I have changed to Coke Zero myself. Here's a hug from all of us to welcome you back. Don't be a stranger now!
Good morning all,
It is raining here and very dark and gloomy. I don't have any big plans so nothing is getting put off except for Brent mowing the lawn. Hopefully, he'll get a dry day soon or we will have to buy goats!
Time for breakfast!
HAGD!

Good Morning Everyone!
I've been up in the General Discussions forum and I've decided that everyone up there has had to much of something! Now that I'm laughing hard, I'm going out to clean my garage and confuse my neighbors who will certainly be wondering what is soooo funny about garage cleaning!!!!
Ya'll have a good day!
Good to see you Barnabas! I'd wondered what had happened to you. To bad mothers don't get to take sabaticals. -
Speak of the devil...............
My dear Brother Barnabas. Funny thing, Sue and I were just talking about you, being away, the other day. I am delighted to see you. We were beginning to think you were just a shadow of the past, but I am glad that it is really a huge figure of the future. God bless, mate.
Cheers,
Jim -

Barnabas, I believe you came back just in time to see the Yankees take the world series, this year. I don't see how they can possibly lose.
-
Lady Sue, thanks for the Coke!
Menageriekeeper, mothers do take sabbaticals (my darling wife did), however, our sabbatical was all work and no play. That is why I had to stay way from the BB. :sleeping_2:
Bro. Jim, I must be seeing double. Have to check my prescription. Or do you have two pictures in there? One with a makeup and one without? By the way, were you talking about me with Sue behind my back? Thanks for the welcome!!!
Bro. Curtis, you and I thought about the same thing. Although it may be too early to talk about the World Series. However, our older daughter, Elizabeth, the other day said to me, "Dad, do you think we will have a Subway Series this year?" She was referring to the NY Mets, who are the best standing baseball team in the National League. Well, we never know. :type: -

Morning Everybody,
Welcome back Barnabas!
It's hot, humid, and stormy today.
I brought in Bacon, and Tomato Omelets this morning, the coffee, and tea, and smoothies are ready. Enjoy.
I have two Doctor's appointments today, plus I have to go grocery shopping, besides my normal "daily" chores.
I'll try to pop back in later. -
Good morning all:
Well, it's been adventurous here since my last post! But, I'll save all that for another time!
BARNABAS!!! Glad to see you back! I thought you had gone forever.
It's been cooler here in Tennessee lately, and it's been a nice change from the heat that we had been having. It's only supposed to be near 80 today. There are also supposed to be some storms. That will be good. We need the rain.
It doesn't seem like September is nearly half over, but, time has really flown by for me. Sometimes I wonder where the time went, but, after looking at all the stuff we've had to do, I can see where it has gone very clearly.
Well, I hope all are doing well. I miss being able to post every day like I used to, but, right now it's just not feasible. There are so many other things going on I sometimes forget to even check the email.
God's blessings on all of you. Keep running the race.

Good morning Rob and Tony and all who will drop by later!
We are have rainy, cooler weather also. I'm not a fan of winter so I'm not enjoying this too much!
I also have a doctor's appointment this morning. Along with getting rid of a skin cancer on my face and telling me what's wrong with my foot, I'm hoping he can get me 'undizzy'. I know that's not a word but it's sure better than being dizzy! (No smart remarks needed.) :tongue3:
I must run for now. I will check in when I get back.
HAGD!

Good Morning Everyone!
Sue, good luck at the doctor!
I know what's wrong with my feet! I sprained one in karate yesterday and the other is just sore from practicing a new jump kick that my uncoordinated self is trying to learn. I'm considering taking some advil just because the soreness is so irritating and I'm walking funny because occasionally I'll step wrong on one foot or the other and it hurts! I've got to much to accomplish today to be slowed down by sore feet.
Ya'll have a good day. I put some sausage and biscuits on the counter for your enjoyment.

My prayers go up for you daily Sue, by all means get rid of that "C"-it doesn't help your health, or your looks. Praying they'll be able to help your foot, and find the cause of your dizziness.
I just got back from my docs and one of them said that my blood pressure was up a little. He suggested that I "take it easy". I plan to right after I get to Glory. Don't have time before that.
Leftovers tonight, I just don't feel "like cookin' " tonight. It's only me (Brenda's at her mom's for a few days) here tonight. I cook to please people, not to please myself.
I've got to plan the kid's after school snacks, and get their study areas ready for their homework. They're goin' to their Mom's tonight for awhile.(She decided she wants to "play Mommy" tonight-we'll see how long that lasts.)
I apologize, I shouldn't have said that about her, she IS the kid's Mother after all- I'm just the Papa trying to do most things right, so the kids get what they need, when they need it.
Enough whine...I gotta get back to work. -
Thanks Cindi and Rob.
The doctor numbed, then cut a slice of the skin off of the "C" on my nose. He is sending it to the lab. He said it may be the 'bad' kind this time. We will know in 7-10 days.
My dizziness? Take Dramamine and hope it will pass soon - no infection.
My foot? Start wearing shoes with good support that lace up, instead of loose floppy slippers, around the house all day - tendonitis.
Rob: I can sympathize with you about daughters who want to 'play mommy' once in a while. That's why I'm raising my grandson...
Back to correcting school papers. Just wanted to stop in and let anyone who is interested know what the doc said.
CYAL,

You feel actual pain with this foot right? It's not just swollen like mine is and maybe a little sore but not really painful? My neighbor took one look at my foot/ankle and said, "Why are you walking around on that, doesn't it hurt?" But really it doesn't. It is swollen though and even swollen in a place it absolutely doesn't hurt (?). I really don't want to go to the doc!
I haven't had lunch and it's nearly time to go get kids. I have enough time to eat but I don't know what I want. So what's for lunch? -
Hello Everyone,
Sounds like y'all are busy as usual.
I think I've decided I'm not going to take another one of those nasty injections. I don't think I can handle the pain, and we're wondering if it might do some damage to my spine. And I have an approximately 2" x 3" itchy red spot at the injection site. AARRRGGHHH!!!! :BangHead:
Got my hair cut this morning!:wavey: -
Hello, Hello.
Sue, I am told that shoes that are specially made for nurses are the best shoes when one is on their feet all day.
I have $400.00 insoles that go into all my footwear, including my house slippers. I usually wear work boots all day...even to church..I polish them for Sundays....
Cheers,
Jim -
Help! Get me out of this box. I have been locked in here since suppertime, and it is preventing others from posting..........eek!
Cheers,
Jim:tonofbricks: -
Sorry Jim, didn't mean to lock you in.
It's really the youth director's fault. Somehow a two-hour plus movie got scheduled into a one hour time slot so all the young people were all late getting out of church. Since I had three of them in there, I had to wait! I did finally send Chris in to get them much to Cassie's displeasure but I hadn't planned on sitting and waiting (with Chris and Jen) for an hour after regular church was over. AND no one had had supper and I hadn't cooked it all! Told Cass next time to give me some notice when they're going to run late so I can plan for it.
Now that you're out of the box Jim, I've brought grilled chicken and pasta salad for our late, late supper. Let me fix you a plate. -
Jim: I have always worn nurses shoes when I worked. They would last a good 5 years working 10 hour shifts, then I would buy another pair. But since I've 'retired' I just bought the cheapies to deliver newspapers.
Also, before they put me on heart meds, my feet were so swollen that all I could wear was loose slippers (even to church) and that is when I got the tendinitis above my Metatarsal Arch (on top of my foot).
I will buy me a good pair (around $70.00) in a couple of weeks. I need to get used to wearing shoes again.
Pleasant dreams all!

If one posts night and then morning in a queue would that be considered double-posting?
Good morning! Another rainy day in Georgia,,,er...Ontario, but we sure need the rain. It just means I can't work outdoors and that drive wife bonkers. I need to find her a job.
Cheers,
Jim -
ROTFL Jim! Sounds more like she needs to find a job for you! :D
Good Morning Everyone!
Guess what!!!! This is my fourth day in a row with no kids in the house! Not that I don't like my kids or anything, but this is the longest time since school started that I haven't had anyone sick. I'm so excited!
Not even the fact that I'm sneezing every other breath and I only got two and a half hours sleep last night can shake my good mood. Although I would like to know who I caught the insomnia from........
:D
Ya'll have a good day, I gotta go make the house as clean as I made the garage yesterday!
