Good evening, ya'll! The sun has set here in the bayou state of Louisiana and I'm 'bout ready to call it a day! Have a restful night sleep... don't forget your prayers.

Hey "Pappy"!:wavey: Good to see ya.
Did ya get your Bayou Blend coffee all together? -
Good morning all,
Hopefully, I will be feeling better soon and able to come to stop by more often.
I am on my third round of antibiotics and have a large blood clot in my mouth from when my teeth were extracted a week ago....pain!
I am expecting a new great granddaughter today. Drs. induced labor at 6:00 this morning. Her due date was just yesterday, but since Mommy has gestational diabetes they were afraid to wait any longer.
Please be in prayer for Chailee (Mommy), Cheslynn (baby), and Bob Jr. (Daddy) today.
HAGD! -
I would like to introduce you to Cheslynn.
Mommy, Daddy, and Baby are fine.
She has her eyes open awfully wide for being just a few hours old... :) -
Awwwwwww, is she just the cutest thing or what?! Thanks for sharing, Sue! :wavey:
-
Sue - She's SOOOO cute! It actually makes me want another. ;)
Congratulations and many blessings to all of your family! -
What a precious baby! Sue, I believe she has your eyes! How many "great's" does this make for you?
Good Morning Everyone!
Yes, I know it is 5 in the afternoon, but I just got T off to work so it has to still be morning. right?
T usually works days, but the hospital he works for is changing over computer systems and it is all hands on deck for the next two weeks. T's hands are needed on night shift, which he's decided is probably better than day's at this point (nights aren't as busy).
I don't like night shift as his leaving for work at 5 pm and coming home at 8 am turns my schedule upside down! His sleeping all day in the room that contains my sewing stuff and the only internet connection in the house at the moment is giving me double withdrawal!
However it is only for two weeks so maybe I'll survive. Maybe.
Tonight, me and the kids are going to watch "National Treasure II" which I picked up today when I ran into Walmart to buy eggs and catfood. We really enjoyed the first one and hope this one is just as good.
Ya'll have a good day! -
"Eggs and Catfood"....
-
Hubby said she had my eyes too. :)
Shane: Eggs and cat food = hash. -
   -
Since I cannot chew, anything sounds good to me right now. LOL
-
sue, that is one cute little one! i hope you get to feeling better really soon.
coffee is on.....sorry not cooking this am.
is it really only wednesday? this is the week that will never end. really i'm just ready for may to be over. it hasn't been a good month.
i guess since the whole city here knows, and i wasn't the one to "spill the beans", i should let you guys in on our news.
cindi will be getting another vicarious grandchild in december. we are somewhat shocked but, happy.
 monday am i get a call from our friend phyllis, this is how it went:
(cindi was witness to the call as cindi and i were on the phone & p called my cell)
phyllis: i have heard something about you.
me: umm....what did you hear?
phyllis: are you pregnant?
me: WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT????
phyllis: margarette told me.
me: how did she know?
phyllis: miss. shawn told her.
me: who told miss shawn?????
phyllis: teresa ________.
me: who?
phyllis: teresa ________.
me: i don't even know teresa ________. who told her?
phyllis: someone that use to baby sit for her.
me: oh good grief. do i know her baby sitter? who is the baby sitter???
phyllis: i don't know but, i think they live near you.
lol...got to love our town.
come to find out she didn't just tell Miss. Shawn...she made an announcement at the church services sunday pm! i did get to meet teresa monday evening...but i had no clue who she was until that point. i almost felt sorry for her when i told her we hadn't made an announcement or even told our 8, 6, 4, or 3 yr olds because we didn't want them to tell my parents. -
Congratulations Tanya!!!
I had my first two 12 months and 1 week apart so I know what you mean by 'shocked'. :)
Surprise! I am having Cream of Wheat with Splenda and skim milk again this morning. LOL
Dr. told me this week if my glucose level went up one more point I would be ‘sticking’ myself every day to test it, so I am trying to cut out almost all sugar and use honey or Splenda instead (mostly Splenda).
Time to get Brent up for school. His last day is May 30th and he graduates May 31st. It's hard to believe he will be in high school next year, but then so will 5 of my other grandchildren.
HAGD!

Good morning everyone!
Guess what I discovered, this morning?
My husband has a computer in the library that he uses for video stuff and it has a WORKING INTERNET CONNECTION!!!!!!!!
At least for today.
I have been going through withdrawals these past few days, cause my computer is in the bedroom where T has to sleep. I had forgotten this machine because it only gets used occasionally and half the time the connection doesn't connect. Well I'll use it until it quits or T catches me. :D
Only problem with this is that I can't talk on the phone out here in the library. Something about the brick walls, keep the cordless from getting good reception.
Today will be spent here or at the doc's office. Cass has an appointment.
Ya'll have a good day. -
Congratulations Tanya!! That's wonderful even if it IS a surprise! LOL God knows what He's doing. (Please remind me of that if I make a similar announcement by Monday??) :praying:
Should prove to be a quiet day around the homestead. Homeschooling is winding down and now we're on the "do as many lessons as you can so we can finish it" mode, so we'll be busy. Robby is finished with reading already and only has 5 more lessons in English to do. It's coming! I can feel it!! :D
I also need to clean the bathrooms and the kitchen but I'm going to take it easy on the kitchen. I went horseback riding on Monday and forgot to bring my gloves out with me but I figured I'd be fine. I figured wrong. I tore open my ring finger so badly - it got a HUGE blister which broke, then I developed 3 other blisters in and around the first blister. My finger is so swollen that I can't get my wedding ring off even though it's imbedded in the skin right now and should really come off. So I've been taking it easy with cleaning so as not to get it dirty. Yeah, I know about rubber gloves but I like my excuse. LOL
Left fresh blueberry cream muffins on the counter. I chopped up the blueberries so maybe even Sue could have some! -

Good Morning Everybody,
Wow!, must be something got in the water here in The Coffeehouse. I am happy to announce that Brenda and I are NOT expecting [her "baby carriage" was removed years ago.] Just trying to figure out why we couldn't have had the grandchildren first.
CONGRATULATIONS Tanya, and possibly Ann.
Now, if my Cuz comes in with an announcement,
We're getting ready to go camping over Memorial Day. We're camping tomorrow to Monday at a Christian campground about 10 miles away from us.
Thanks for breakfast Ann. Happy to hear that Sue is able to take nourishment again.
Everybody play nice while I'm gone. Breakfast will depend on who feels like cooking. -
thanks for the congrats folks :) -
Good afternoon ya'll! A hot day prevails in the south today! It is so hot outside! I brought home five kittens and its momma today from Kacie's house and they are all outside making themselves a new home. I had one boy cat and his mother is the mother of the kittens, lol. They actually started purring at each other... we can only home they missed each other, huh? You know, cats do that though. They forget who is brother and sister and who is mom and child or dad and child. I guess in about a couple of months there will be more kitties running around... I love it though.
Not much going on here at BaptistBoard, so I think i'll go fix me a glass of sweet southern iced tea and get caught up on some reading over there by my chair. Have yo'self a nice day... himme? -
I love you, Kacie. goodnight~
Good evening ya'll! The day is just about to come to an end here on da bayous of northeast Louisiana. I am on this computer later than I usually let myself, but I have to shower still when I unplug for the night. I always allow my eyes to adjust an hour before bed from looking at the computer screen because it'll keep me awake. I read that the light from the computer screen is equivalent to the same amount of light from the sun; therefore your brain still thinks it's daylight outside.
Sleep well tonight, ya'll. The rooster will crow before I know it so I better go on and get off here. Love ya'll. xo
