Good Morning Everyone!
We are overflowing in candy this morning too and I only had ONE that went trick or treating! Thankfully, that one decided she need real food this morning and scrambled us all some eggs. It took a dozen and a half eggs to feed this crew this morning and there were only 7 of us! The eigth one had already left. (poor Dale went home hungry)
Cass had her first taste of concert going last night as T allowed her to go see "Stone Temple (?)" (something like that. Some old band I'd never heard of before) and I didn't argue. She didn't like it. I don't think we'll have a repeat. She said the music was fine, but the PEOPLE! I like it when my kids realize that what Mom has been trying to tell them is real.
So today, we have karate, then I'm going to let T loose with the chainsaw and we are going to be minus a half dozen or so hedge bushes (and I DONT CARE that he cutting down "expensive" boxwoods") These things have been in place I'm sure since the house was built and they are way to big for me to manage anymore with my arthritis. I tried once this year to clip them and ended up off my feet for a week and I'd only done half of them!
So, three of them are going to be cut to the ground and the rest are going to be cut back to the heavy wood at the base probably about a foot off the ground. Those aren't as big as the first three or in the way as much when we put up Christmas lights. If those live, they live if they don't, I'll plant azaleas in their place next year.
After that, we'll replace two sets of shutters and then T and I are going to drive up (BY OURSELVES) to a party hosted by one of his coworker.
Ya'll have a good day!

Good morning all,
Just a quick pop in. Two of the four who play soccer are sick-so my work meeting this morning didn't interfere with anyone's soccer game! How lucky am I! Not that I am happy the kiddos are sick-I'm just glad that they where are their mom's house instead of here for auntie to have stayed up all night. The older two have three games this afternoon between them and then we are going to hit the early voting and get a few groceries and other necessities at Wally world. Ugh-I suddenly don't feel so good! It is a beautiful fall day and dad is feeling good. Gotta run, have chores to do before soccer....
:godisgood: -
We don't do Halloween but we have a ton of candy anyhow! There were parent teacher conferences and I walked in with four girls. (one isn't mine, don't panic, I still only have three, hehe)
The teacher gave us ALL a bag of candy. Not just a couple pieces, these were ziplock bags!
The extra little girl I had with me...her family does Halloween and mom's company had a big party that the mom helped organize and they have a ton of candy gift bags left over, so she's bringing some of the extras over today.
My kids are in candy heaven. I don't buy it much, so they're all excited. So am I...I've been feeling chocolate deprived lately. -
Good Election Morning to Everyone!!!!
Have you voted yet??
I am headed to the polls here in a few minutes in spite of a just now realized expired drivers liscense (guess what else I get to do today. ) and three kids down with a stomach virus. Just waiting on T to get ready for work so we can go together.
The rest of the day will be spent playing with the "new" bread machine I found at the thrift store that appears brand new but seems to be at least 10-15 years old and has no manual (and I can't find one online either).
In other news, Chris got up this morning so he could do social studies by going to vote with us (in spite of the bug) and put on a brand new pair of jeans to find that they were to tight in the waist! These are 16 slims! Last year he was in a 10 slim. He seems to making up for all the growing time he lost while he was so sick. Guess who'll be headed to go look for new, bigger jeans??
Ya'll have a good day! -
I'm internetless!! My cable went down this morning so we have no TV and no internet. Quite funny on election day, huh? Fortunately, we have one TV (the one in our bedroom) on the antenna so we will still be able to see some results tonight. I'm up at church right now to check my e-mails and get my board fixes. ;)
Have a great day all! Later I'll be taking my 18 year old daughter to vote for her first time. Should be exciting. -

Good Afternoon Everybody,
Don't know what it's like in your part of the BB universe but here it is 70 degrees and sunny. Not to bad for November!!
Voted this morning and had to wait in line over 30 minutes to do so.
Tonight we are celebrating the end of all the petty political rhetoric, the mailings, and the phone calls. We're having Grilled Steaks, Grilled Portabellos, Garlicky Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Vegetables, and Deep-Dish Apple Pie with either Cheddar Cheese or Ice Cream on top, and yes I did bring this in for those who want to stop by the Coffeehouse tonight.
Received a disturbing phone call last night from a church member who is trying his mightiest to pull us into the conflict that has erupted and spread like wildfire in church. I listened politely and when they were finished told them that I certainly had many better things to do with my time than to spread gossip and inuendo. I then asked him if he wanted to pray with me that Jesus would heal our church and the relationships that have been damaged or destroyed by all the vicious attacks on both sides. He hung up on me. Imagine that.
Brenda and I have decided to start visiting other Baptist churches in the area. -
Welcome to Friday Everyone!
I cannot believe how this week has flown by, in spite of our round with the stomach virus! Way to fast!
Today dawned cool and rainy in our parts. Good thing I hadn't planned to do anything outdoors this morning! What I do have planned is to clean out the large closet upstairs, but since Chris isn't up yet, I'm going to start on the project that comes next: changing out the bed that is in Jenna room. Course that means I have to clean Jenna's room first and right now I think that everything she owns is on the floor! Oh well, I'm up early and I have energy, guess I'll get busy.
Ya'll can pray for my back. It is up to it's old trick of sending out jolts of pain that feel like a knife being stuck in, whenever I move the wrong way. I've swallowed some meds for it, but I have so much to do to get ready for the holidays that I can't afford to be down. Plus, I have to test in karate for my next level of black belt in January and that's not going to leave me with anytime to nurse a sore back.
Have a good day! I'll be back around when I get hungry! -

Good Morning Everybody,
What'd you do Cuz?, you scared everybody away.
Today we have rain, but the temps are supposed to drop starting tomorrow and then we'll have snow flurries again right through the middle of next week.
I brought in Grilled Hamburgers, French Fries, and Deep-Dish Apple Pie. Enjoy.
Today is made up of Doctor's appointments, trips to the pharmacy and to redistribute my wealth at Walmart.
Will try to check back in later. -
LOL Cuz! I mentioned cleaning and they all scattered!
So far I have cleaned: the garage, the attic and the huge closet upstairs.
I'm debating now on what room to start on next. It'll probably end up being my bedroom and bath. Those two aren't too awful bad cause I've moved so much around in there. I'd start in the library and work through the house from there, but I didn't make the mess in the library and I'm thinkin' those that did should help clean it up! Just a little bit of red headed temper in that. Anyhow, by tomorrow maybe I'll have a plan! -
-
LOL Tanya! But unless your younguns are prone to bringing in Taco Bell and watching scary movies, I don't think they had whole lot to with the mess in there. :D
Good Morning Everyone!
It is a glum rainy fall morning in the South. Just the sort of day one wants to spend at the dentist. (not!) T and I both have to go. Me for a cleaning and he because one the teeth he had worked on this past summer, fell clean out of his mouth! I'm praying that it was just that one tooth and he doesn't have an underlying infection that will cause even more problems. We haven't finished paying for that tooth yet!
Ya'll have a good day! -

+ Cleaning = Crimson Tide
 Gotcha, Cuz! -
no cindi, i don't think my kids had anything to do with taco bell. the one child i have who loves taco bell hasn't been there and the ones who have been there will not touch taco bell food to save them.:BangHead: -
Because I love you Cuz, I will allow the above smarty pants comment to not affect me. I will simply inform you that the color crimson is NOT allowed in my house if it is in any way connected to a certain football team. I bleed blue and orange. :D
Good Morning All!
Ya know, when you give a kid orders and tie those orders to consequences that involve NOT getting to go out with her beloved until such orders are completed, amazing things happen like:
Being able to see the floor in her room
finding clothing neatly folded or hung up in her closet
finding that she knows how to wash sheets and blankets as well as she washes her favorite outfit
finding that she had a sudden flash of memory on how to make her bed
and most amazing of all: My cordless phone was on the charger this morning!!!!!
Why didn't I think to do this months ago?
I am busily cleaning the areas of the house that I can't talk or threaten my children into cleaning. I think I have made a small dent and can see the floor (though the carpet isn't clean yet) in some rooms.
Ya'll have a good day and I'm going to get back to work! -

Translation: It's nice to be loved, but the love will be short-lived if a certain dreaded color or University is mentioned again. Understood M'aam. :saint:
BTW I'm not responsible for the Taco Bell or the Horror Movies either. My Wife trained me to pick up after myself. Is that called being "paper" trained? -
speaking of potty's.....12 days isn't long enough for 2 bars of soap to dissolve completely.:tonofbricks: (got to love 4 yr old little boys and their science experiments! ) but...it has been the motivation my hubby needs to get some much needed work done to the floor in the kids bath.
***who ever thought it would be a good idea to put carpet in a bath room please step forward....i would love to give you the "slap" award!!*** -
Good morning all!
