Brent starts back home schooling tomorrow and the public schools also start back, which means I'll be on the 'corner' again.
Time for this one to go to bed and hopefully get some much needed sleep.
Pleasant dreams all!
My puter needs some rest too!

Ty comes early again starting tomorrow and of course, our schooling. I took some allergy medicine which makes me sleepy so think I'll shut down and watch t.v. before heading to bed.
God bless and keep you all!

Kids here go back tomorrow. We start piano lessons back this week, too.
Today was a busy day. We had good worship this morning - a new girl's ensemble (teens) did the special and they did so great. Immediately after church, we had to go to a funeral. It was the father of a church member held at his (the dad's) church. They had a family time at 1 (and I played the piano for "background music"), the wake at 1:30, and the funeral at 2 (played and sang). Got home after 3, then had to go to the store b/c it was my night to cook for the kids tonite. So the babysitter and my girls and I loaded up and went and got the fixin's for nachos. Got home just in time to cook and get to church by 5. SO its been a long day, but I dont really mind. I feel so very blessed.
All right, yall sign up at MSN - we be having some good chattin' in der!! -
Good morning all!
I feel like I just went to bed!
It is raining here and will be until Thursday, when it is supposed to snow...
Nice day to go back to work!
I got Brent and I each a 'heavy-duty' raincoat with hoods so we should stay dry.

Good Morning all! Ty came at 5:45 and went right back to sleep until 10:30! His parents had driven back from Ala. and hadn't gotten him to bed until midnight so he was so tired. That meant I couldn't get to the computer without waking him so found some other things to do.
It's to be 70-75° here all week! Nick's so happy! He's already out in the yard but he'll have to come in for schooling.
Jim has off today. He's taken some cardboard from Christmas boxes to the recycling center about 20 miles one way from here. -
50s and rainy here, melting all that snow we had last week or so. Back to regular work cycles.
-
Wow, it's been quiet online today! The kids and I spent almost all day outside. Ty didn't take a nap after sleeping so late and was quite worn out and fussy by time mom got here.
I'm EXHAUSTED from all the fresh air and running around. Supper's finished. Dishes are washing and I need to iron some clothes tonight so may not be around much before bed.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening.

Evening all:
It has been a busy day here. We would proudly like to introduce the newest member of our family...
OREO!
There is nothing wrong with his leg - I caught him when he was taking a step. He and Brent have been playing ever since I brought him home.
He is just exactly what we have been looking for and we got him for FREE! He will be 5 months old Wednesday.
He is busy 'snooping' right now. He already jumped up on the kitchen chair and then onto my lap while we were eating supper and that's a big NO NO (not that he cared).
I am off to do some 'cat proofing'. Cyal tonight.
§ue (happy to make Brent happy) :D -
Sue---after a more thorough, careful investigation it has come to Dr. Blackbird's attention that there IS somethin' terrible wrong with that leg!!
Dr. Blackbird will consult with his trusty assistant, Dr. Gib and will confer our "group" decision ASAP!!
Meanwhile---don't panic---at least, not yet!!
Dr. Blackbird, Dvm -
Oh Sue! He's a DOLL! Perfect name! If you'd asked, that's what I would have said. We are SO in love with Patches and I'm sure Oreo will fit right in!
Jim's pulmonary specialist gave him a hard time about the cat today but hey..... that's why God made Visine, right?
Congrats on your new member! Nick thinks he's so cute. Glad you explained about the leg. He looked bowlegged. LOLOL... Like he'd been riding the range all day. -
Why that cat must be a cowboy cat. He's
got the bowlegs to prove it. Somebody say
PULL!! and I'll take a crack at it. -
Thanks Diane; Brent loves him already and he is SO happy to have his "very own" cat!
I told Brent, "The cat comes with YOUR "very own" litter box".
When I can get Oreo to sit still long enough, I'll take another picture just to show you his leg is fine Gib AND blackbird! -
Patches is so tiny that cleaning her litter boxes is no work at all. Dubbs, because he was drinking so much water, needed his two litter boxes (under bed sized sweater boxes) cleaned several times a day. I got a tiny litter box from Dollar General and am using an even smaller box (about the size of a shoe box) in Nick's bathroom for the other one. Dollar General has litter that can be flushed unless you have a septic tank. We have a septic tank but I bought it anyhow. CHEAP!
I'm so glad you found a nice kitten. It's just wonderful for Brent. Nick sure loves Patches! She hasn't jumped on any counters or into the chairs during supper but one night she jumped from the dresser to a speaker and then to the top of the t.v. in our bedroom. I guess she figured out there was nothing fun up there.... The last few nights, she's slept from when we went to bed until I was ready to make the bed!!!

Evening everyone!
Since I was much better this morning I decided to do some much needed after holiday cleaning. And about a dozen loads of washing.....and then all those clothes needed folding and hanging.....and then since I had the hangers our already, there were those piles of half folded clothes in the closets that really needed to be hung......and.....oh yeah, socks that had to be sorted......and then backpacks to get ready for school tomorrow........and now I'm tired. I just finished everything.
Anyone else watching the Sugar Bowl? Auburn's not doing as well as they could be doing.
Sue, your kitten is precious. Wish I could talk T into one. Then again, with so many doggies around this house a cat might not be safe here. Oh well, dogs don't live forever......
Diane, don't you know that you are suposed to wait until her majesty awakens before you dump her off the bed? ;) :D -
I have a pile of ironing I've been hiding for months! It's out of season clothes, or some of it is... ;)
I took down some of our Christmas decorations. The 2 trees are down but the big living room tree is still up. I'm thinking of leaving out my snowmen until spring. I really like snowmen and have quite a collection of them. Why not?
Glad you're feeling better! It's tough when mom is sick!
Well boys and girls.... I'm going to watch some t.v. and then go to bed. Again, Ty will be coming at 5:30 a.m. Yawn.....
Night,
Diane -
Since I usually post when I'm at work, I'm a little behind the latest here. My New Year's holiday was today.
Hope everyone had a great New Year's. The balmy weather here was great for the Mummers' Parade. Actually a little too warm, many of the guys were rather warm in those costumes. Went out shopping this evening, in a sweatshirt and jeans and no coat. In January!
Congrats to Roger on MOY!
Sue, is that little guy the same cat you were speaking of earlier, or is he a "trade-in?" He's a cute little bugger.
You might not hear from me tomorrow, I've got jury duty! I pray that if these Philadelphia lawyers pick me, that it will be for something clear-cut one way or the other, and that it's not a civil case! If I don't get picked, then I'm off the hook until next time!
Off to bed - I have to report by 8:15. That's early for me to be downtown. Nighty-night. -
Hey yall! How's it going? Its been a good day here. We played outside most of the day. It was beautiful.
I went to Jazzercise tonight and the instructor really worked us out. SHE cheated over the holidays, so WE are paying for it!
I think its gonna be a long nite here- the 2 and 1/2 year old sleepwalker has already been out here twice since she went to sleep 2 hours ago.
Tomorrow we are off to New Orleans - DH has to stop at the seminary, so we are all going with him, then on to the zoo!!
By the way - No kitties here - our attack bird wouldn't stand for it! -
Sue and Diane, I love your kitties! TaterTot I love your attack bird too!

Good morning all:
I think Oreo slept with Brent last night - at least he was on his bed when I woke up this morning...
36º and very foggy, here this morning, with an expected high of 39º and rain this afternoon. Freezing rain and snow tonight with high winds. Yuck!
Today is laundry day. Yippee! NOT!
Cruising,

Today is letter day. Whoopie! I print anywhere from 50-300 letters, fill them out, fold them, stuff them and run them thru the postage. A 150 or more is an all day event. I have about 80 today and apprx 200 tomorrow. Can't wait!
