Could I get some feedback on this site?
It is fairly new. Comments appreciated. Does it work on Mac or older browsers?

It looks good! The only thing that I would suggest changing is the picture of Jesus, it looks too Catholic.

Looks very good to me.

I didn't find any misspelled words or anything like that.

I really like the prayer and praise section. You've done a good job. If I were someone looking for a church home, this website would definitely make me want to visit.

I used it because it is ifrom our stained glass window behind the Baptistery.
Our committee did chose to leave out the halo that was originally in the plans for the window.

The site worked fine for me on a Mac. I understand why you used the image of Jesus, but I agree with christianyouth's assessment. Otherwise a good site!

Works fine on a Mac, as do 100% of normal websites.
The only sites that do not work on a mac are either ones using some proprietary MS technology for a web application(very rare in practical use) Or some site that intentionally blocks all browsers other than IE ( a few do)
Also, the sites themselves will still work it is just that from time to time there may be some element that is problematic.

With the rise of popularity of Mozilla Firfox, the browser issue is almost nil because there are enough people using Firefox that web developers have to use standards now and so things are much better across platmorms

The Site looks good. Easy layout, readable, colors are not contrasting, etc.

Two things that I personally look for on a site are 1) Doctrinal Statement/Statement of Faith and 2) Audio Sermons, or a link to hear audio sermons from the pastor.

May I ask what you're using as a template?

Looks like a WordPress blog template, or other CMS.

Looks good; I would ask, is there any way to stretch it across the screen some more? (as I increase the text size, because my eyes are getting weaker as I get older, the page does some weird things)

Also, have you run it through WebXAct (or other similar site) to check for handicap accessibility? (http://webxact.watchfire.com/, or do a search for "bobby approved")

It's just some CSS, html and a java menu. No CMS - I started setting up a Joomla and a myPHPwebsite one but have not switched to it yet. I might not for awhile.
I 'll probably remake it soon but I don't know if I'll use a CMS or do it the old fashion way.

I could have made it adjust to width but I liked it centered at +/-800 pixel width.

No, I haven't tried any accessibility scans. But good idea.

I made our old page years 8 years ago and about three years ago I quit taking care of it and nothing was done. Three years nothing done, so I decided I'd make another. I thought this may be a good starting place.

The text on top "Welcome to East Union Baptist Church 2244 Beech Bluff Rd. - Jackson TN 38301 - 731-424 -2261" is white on white (invisible). Other than that, it looks fine.

The text should be over a banner image.
What browser and version are you running?

Appeal, color and layout are good. It is pretty narrow. If you go to joomla you should look at http://www.rockettheme.com/ that guy does a great job with the templates and all are much wider and not so bloggy looking. Bloggy is that a word?

Main problem is, Jesus Christ didn't have long hair.

I'm using Firefox, XP 32-bit edition.

For someone that has "teacher" in his profile, you sure do have much to learn, one being temperance.

rrriiight. moderation or soberness? I am sober now, and moderation seems not to be a problem.

you have such catchy phrases... that teacher thing was a zinger....
