Fun with Bible Translations

    Ok now everyone this is intended to be a fun topic... noone should get upset, but lets have some fun thrown in with all the serious stuff being discussed here.

    What do you think the translation really mean?

    From what I have read here... some of you would think the following:


    HCSB = Hard Core Southern Baptist translation
    NIV = Nearly Inspired Version


    (Btw on a serious note, I use the HCSB)

    So in the spirit of having fun... what other titles could we come up with?

    ESV, NASB, KJV, etc...

    Remember this is not a serious discussion... just a little break in all the stress of life.

    Sorry pastor,
    I understand your desire, but everytime we try this things get mean and ugly too quickly. In fact, they border on being in violation of posting policies in this forum.

    Therefore I have no option but to close the thread.
