On December 16, 1773, colonists, disguised as Indians, dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor to protest duties (taxes) placed on imported English tea.

Nothing implied. That was the "This Day in History" item on my computer at work. I simply copied it and sent it to my home computer and then pasted it here. [IMG]

My oldest found that in the newspaper and got all excited that it was today.
I'm not that big on history so the enthusiasm wasn't all that contagious, but I tried. [IMG]

One of those important Pre-revolution dates in American History.

I had a cuppa in honour of the event.

When I got up I knew it was a big date, but it never clicked. All day long I thought "December 16th - what is it?" If I had remembered I would have had coffee instead of tea yesterday ;) .

I'll come round with my redcoats and shoot the lot of you...after I've finished the excellent cup of tea my secretary just made :D
