Gospel bluegrass band involved in fatal wreck

    Harvest Wind Band, a bluegrass gospel group from Statesville, NC, was involved in a fatal wreck along Interstate 24 in the Clarksville, TN area (near the TN-KY state line). They were headed to a concert in Dixon, MO.

    Don't know much about them, but the article states that the group was nominated for two 2007 Dove Awards, one of the Bluegrass Album of the Year for "Ancient of Days."

    More than likely the band's website -- www.harvestwindband.com -- will have more details soon.

    I'm sure they'd appreciate your prayers.

    The website says it was last updated in March of 2006.

    Thanks for the update, HBSMN.

    I used to live near Exit 11 on I-24, and even back then that was a very dangerous stretch of interstate.

    Will be praying for them, especially the family that lost a wife and mother.

    I just talked to my old pastor from NC and he informed me that he preached Crystal's funeral.

    I just found out that Crystal Wood was the pianist at a Church in Randleman, NC where I was a Deacon many years ago. Her husband, Brad, left New Salem Baptist Church a few weeks after the accident.
