Here is an excellent NT example of thoughtful translation. This choice expands the message beyond male slave holders, to present the idea we should not use our relationship with our siblings in Christ, for special favor.

My only comment would be to wonder whether this choice is superior to changing "brothers" to "brothers and sisters" when siblings in Christ are in view.
