Is shaving your legs a sin???

    After all, God put the hair on our legs. Would He have done that if He had wanted us to get rid of it?

    For those of us who DO shave; is it a sin to use a man's razor?

    We know it is a sin to 'broid'; so for those of us who do NOT shave; do we curl our leg hair?

    I will confess. I shave my legs...but only when my panty hose get too tight!

    Only if it is a step in cross-dressing! :eek: Having spent considerable time in Europe where it is more common to see women with unshaved legs and arm pits, please ladies, please retain the habit! :D

    You peeps are cracking me up! I surely hope you realize this thread was posted in jest. Just a follow up to the thread about trimming nose hairs. [​IMG]

    I have read where some posters say we should not pierce our ears because if God wanted holes there He would have put them there.

    My point was, if God did not want hair on our legs; why did He put it there??? :confused:

    Ok, here's the list from me. Call it ultrafundyism/ultralegalism if you want. ROFL Now, this is what I do or do not do, but I do NOT give a hoot whether you do or don't, it's your business and I've MUCH better things to do than worry about such things in others.
    I don't use curling irons or get perms.
    I don't use hair dye anymore.
    I do not shave.
    I do not wear makeup.
    I do not wear jewelry, save a bead bracelet on occasion that has personal meaning to me.
    I do not wear a swimming suit in public.
    I think some people thought I was lying or joking at times I have said this. I was not. Ask anyone who's met me.
    None of these are done for purposes of being clean or healthy, they're all done to flatter others. If you lived alone on an island would you bother with this stuff? I sincerely doubt it, and it's because you wouldn't have anyone to impress.
    Now, if I had a husband and he was disgusted by any of this, I would do it to please him, and him alone. Other than that, I have nobody I need to make myself look different than what I am for.
    I don't think I'm beautiful beyond belief or anything, but I do think that I'm not so ugly that I need to try to fix me, nor is anybody I can think of on the face of this planet. Ok, I can think of one, but I'll be nice and stay quiet! ;)

    I shave, but only out of nescesity. Cause as clumsy as I am and as many times as I've ended up cutting myself with them awful razors {women's of course! :D } I sure wouldn't do it if I didn't have to...but if I didn't my legs would resemble a mans....yeah, I'm serious, and NO it's NOT pretty. So yes I do shave about twice to three times a week...no I don't consider it a sin...in fact some people wondered about me cause of all the hair, so I didn't have much choice! {Needless to say one of the ladies in my church had to give me detaled instructions on how too, cause I sure wasn't gonna add cutting my leg open to my list of accidents!}
    If anyone finds a verse against shaving please let me know....although I've yet to see one.
    Yeah, there is a reason for all that furr on our legs....to remind us to shave! :D ok kidding there!

    And if you saw what was growing on my legs now you'd say it was a sin to leave it there. [​IMG]

    Honsetly, I do shave, but not all the time. Only when the mood strikes me. I mean who doesn't like seeing their blood flowing out of gashes on occasion? [​IMG] [​IMG]

    You guys are as crazy as a soup sandwich! LOL.

    Well I'm gonna keep on shaving my legs and underarms, wearing makeup, coloring my hair until it's all white, wearing jewelry and pants. In fact, I'm heading out at 4:00 for our city wide visitation wearing tan dockers and my denimn First Baptist Church shirt. We don't look like J/W's if we wear pants and people open the doors. I included the TIME so 'no one' can question my church attendance like they did last Sunday night! BTW... I'm on EDT. [​IMG] Next Sunday night is a cookout and volleyball tournament and even the preacher will wear shorts.

    Oh Blackbird... I've got a church that needs you! Our pastor is heading back to Oklahoma. :(
