Anyone watching last night? What do you think about the writer's strike reducing season four to 8 episodes? Am I the only one still following this show?

No, I'll be following LOST till the very end. Too much mystery and unanswered questions to quit now. I do think however, I am not going to like the changes, the new approach with the fast fowards.

Last year I didn't watch. I waited until it came out on dvd and watched the entire season in a couple of days. (I hate commercials and I hate having to wait.) Then I actioned it on EBay and actually made 2 bucks. I was going to to that again with this season but I couldn't help but watch the first episode. I thought it was great. It picked up right where the last season ended and added even more mystery.

It's too early for me to say if I'll like the flash forwards or not... it certainly adds a different dynamic. I love this show!

This is probably my favorite show atm, though it has some serious irritants for me.

Allow me a 30 second rant, feel free to ignore:

Too many unrealistic conversations and people doing dumb things I don't think real people would do, like walking deep in the jungle alone when some gigantic beast has just killed people the day before. Or walking through the jungle a day after being kidnapped, with the kidnapper still on the loose, and not even looking around cautiously or talking loud instead of sneaking around. Why hasn't Hurley lost any wait after months on the island? Too many guys that are jerks, too many strong-willed, stupd people. Everyone's IQ needs raised about 20 points. Jack would be my favorite character if he wasn't such a drama queen about everything, sucking down any alcohol or drugs he can find in every flashback/forward. I liked Kate before she started sleeping with Sawyer, the biggest jerk on the island (with the possible exception of Walt's dad). The Sawyer torture scene from season one was pathetic (I'd have had him telling the truth in about 2 min with a couple of missing fingers/eyeballs).

    Rant off.

But with all that, and other irritants, I'm a fan because it is the only show on TV with some sense of mystery and adventure, with surprises along the way. The writers, whose characters and dialogue at times drives me nuts, are occasionally brilliant with plot twists. Season 4 looks like it might be good so far, especially with what one of the actors revealed about the upcoming plot. I won't spoil it.

For those interested, seasons 1-3 are available on abc.com in HD streaming video with no commercials.

Oh ya, I'm lookin' forward to it I wonder if Charlie is really dead (it looked like he could have made it out of the hatch if he'd wanted to). Or maybe his ghost really is visiting Hurley in the future. :p

Charlotte Staples Lewis.... obviously a play on Clive Staples Lewis, both C.S. Lewis. Wonder if that means anything.

I never watched an episode of Lost until last month. I decided to see what it was all about and watched the first episode on ABC.com. I was hooked after that. I watched every episode in seasons 1-3 in about 3 weeks and was ready for season 45 when it premired last week.

Who does Ben have with the "Not Penny's Boat" people?

Who are the Oceanic 6? (Jack, Kate, Hurley, ?, ?, ?)

What do the "Not Penny's Boat" people know about The Others and about the crash?

I was awed tonight. Wow, no idea about the boat people. But they want Ben bad, and I don't think it's for soemthing good. They seem a strange bunch to send to the island though.
There are so many hidden clues in this show it can make you crazy.

My cable tv crashed last night!!! About an hour before LOST started, the wire and the TV fried! I don't know what happened, but my TV completely won't even come on! I was juiced! Thank goodness for ABC.com putting the show on the day after. My wife has the day off on Fridays, so I guess we'll be watching all the rest of the season on the day after during my lunch break on my computer in my office. AAARGH!

Can't wait! Another 3 hours and she'll be here with lunch! Then I'll be able to talk with you about last night's LOST-isode.

We had a fundraiser to go to for the first one. argggg. I had to wait and catch it the next day. The kids at school wanted to tell me soooooo badly what had happened! I was on pins and needles, but obviously I survived ;)

When I was stationed in Germany, AFN TV got its shows about 6 - 8 months late. Of course that was 20 - 30 years ago. Not sure about it know.

I remember all the hype about the "Who shot JR show!

    AFN hasn't changed.

And I'm in a location where I can't watch over the internet.

    Oh, woe is me!

Anyone know any sites where I can read episode synopsis?

My son and his girlfriend took us out to eat Thursday, Santa fe steak house, and i missed lost!!!!! I'm going to watch it online though.
I don't know of any sites with scripts. You can go to the lost message board at abc.com and ask there, someone will know if it exsists.

I've had to watch them all online. Kind of funky, but better than completely being lost ;)

My wife and I were at a music convention in Texas this past weekend and missed LOST as well. We'll watch today when we get home. I understand it's a Sayid episode.
