The Arabs were promised Palestine in October 1915. This promise was never fulfilled, indeed it was destroyed by the Balfour Declaration and the actions of those western nations who had made the promise. Western nations, yea, the world is still grappling with the problems caused by this deception.

Uh Arabs have had desires to rule the world forever. In fact there never has been a Arab Palestine. It is a myth. The whole reason for the crusades was to fight back against Arab aggression.

Proof please ... or are you simply parroting the conservative revision of history again?

Another red herring reply from you Rev. The topic of the OP is how the Arabs came to distrust and hate western countries so much.

You can see how Israel has systematically destroyed Palestine.

The land was promised to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob long before the Brits promised the land to anyone. The Arabs are not the descendants of Jacob.

They don't trust the west because their leaders use the west as a scapegoat for their own ineptitude, dishonesty and abuse.

PLO leader Zuheir Mohsen once said:

The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

In recent history the area called Palestine includes the territories of present day Israel and Jordan (see map above. For earlier history of the term see article). From 1517 to 1917 most of this area remained under the rule of the Ottoman Empire.

Ottoman Empire was dissolved at the end of World War I. Its successor, modern republic of Turkey, transferred Palestine to British Empire control under the Lausanne agreement that followed WW I.

In 1917 Great Britain issued the Balfour Declaration for "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people". In 1922 Britain allocated nearly 80% of Palestine to Transjordan. Thus, Jordan covers the majority of the land of Palestine under British Mandate. Jordan also includes the majority of the Arabs who lived there. In other words, Jordan is the Arab portion of Palestine.

The residents of Palestine are called "Palestinians". Since Palestine includes both modern day Israel and Jordan both Arab and Jewish residents of this area were referred to as "Palestinians".

It was only after the Jews re-inhabited their historic homeland of Judea and Samaria, that the myth of an Arab Palestinian nation was created and marketed worldwide. Jews come from Judea, not Palestinians. There is no language known as Palestinian, or any Palestinian culture distinct from that of all the Arabs in the area. There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. "Palestinians" are Arabs indistinguishable from Arabs throughout the Middle East. The great majority of Arabs in greater Palestine and Israel share the same culture, language and religion.

Much of the Arab population in this area actually migrated into Israel and Judea and Samaria from the surrounding Arab countries in the past 100 years. The rebirth of Israel was accompanied by economic prosperity for the region. Arabs migrated to this area to find employment and enjoy the higher standard of living. In documents not more than hundred years, the area is described as a scarcely populated region. Jews by far were the majority in Jerusalem over the small Arab minority. Until the Oslo agreement the major source of income for Arab residents was employment in the Israeli sector. To this day, many Arabs try to migrate into Israel with various deceptions to become a citizen of Israel.

Even the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Arafat himself, is not a "Palestinian". He was born in Egypt. The famous "Palestinian covenant" states that Palestinians are "an integral part of the Arab nation" -- a nation which is blessed with a sparsely populated land mass 660 times the size of tiny Israel (Judea, Samaria and Gaza included).

All attempts to claim Arab sovereignty over Israel of today, should be seen with their real intention: The destruction of Israel as a Jewish state and the only bulwark of the Judeo-Christian Western civilization in the Middle East.

You still are not speaking to the OP as to why the Arabs distrust and hate western nation. So again you are entering a post that is a

And, of course, you completely ignore the promises made to the Arab leader in 1915, two years before the Balfour Declaration.

DNA findings from the Human Genome Project confirms the very close genetic relationship between the Jews and the Palestinians, i.e., the Palestinians being the true 'left behind' from the expulsions of 70 and 132 AD who converted to Islam.

40 Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left:
41 two women shall be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left. Mt 24

Of course this doesn't jibe with the Haggee-ism of American Christian Zionists, but the fact is, DNA wise, the Palestinians ARE descendants of Jacob and the Jews are committing slow motion genocide on their own blood kin, and the sensational seeking Hageeites couldn't care less. The U.S. must give the Jews blind unconditional support or God will curse us. Only Satan himself could devise a deception of this magnitude.

You are quite correct. It is very understandable that the Arabs do not trust western nations. I do not know of any agreement they have made with the West that the West has faithfully kept.

Balfour created a monster we are living with and will continue to live with long after my life is over. I doubt he had any idea of the problems that would result from his declaration. Below is his photo and the letter he wrote.

That's a 'done deal' from of old:

43 So Jehovah gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44 And Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45 There failed not aught of any good thing which Jehovah had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. Josh 21

And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which Jehovah your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, not one thing hath failed thereof. Josh 23:14

Blessed be Jehovah, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by Moses his servant. 1 Ki 8:56

For how many soever be the promises of God, in him is the yea: wherefore also through him is the Amen, unto the glory of God through us. 2 Cor 1:20

kyredneck, you are also not addressing the OP as to why the Arabs doe not trust any western nation since 1917.

One reason Balfour issued the declaration was political, it was an attempt to convince Jewish leaders they should support England and the allies.

Lloyd George admits this in his memoirs when he calls the Balfour Declaration propaganda.

    OK. You got me.

Actually there's more to it than that. There was a deal struck between the British government and the Zionists. If the Brits would be conducive to a Jewish home in Palestine, Zionists would push America to enter the war on the side of the British. Excellent book on this topic published last year written by an English woman, Allison Weir:

Against Our Better Judgment: The Hidden History of How the U.S. Was Used to Create Israel

    Read the reviews.

Declining Palestinian Christian population fears its churches are turning into museums

"Today, Christians make up just 1 percent of the mainly Muslim population of the Palestinian territories; in 1920, they were a tenth of the population of Palestine."

....and the deceived Haggeeites couldn't care less about their own Christian brethren in all this either. They must worship their Golden Calf Israel after the flesh. It's not just heresy, it's outright idolaltry what the Haggeeites do.

    Kyredneck,

I have no idea what haggeeite is.

But just because I believe that God's promise to Israel is eternal certainly does not mean that I worship Israel. I am certainly not an idolater any more than a Calvinist worships Calvin, a Lutheran worship Luther or a Baptist worships Roger Williams.
