Years ago I bought a storage shed for my back yard. It was delivered in boxes, and had to be assembled. So I found the foundation pieces, two by fours and laid them out and fastened them to the concrete slab. But the first corner I fastened, I did not get quite square. Now, forty years later, the shed is still standing, and it still is not quite right. Someone might look at it from the outside and not notice, but I know, and repeatedly consider pulling up the crooked corner foundation.

Most of us know Jesus is referred to in scripture as a cornerstone, and if our lives are built on that sound foundation, our shed will be squared away.

    Ephesians 2:19-22
So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy sanctuary in the Lord,
in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Our life is aligned with Christ, for He is our cornerstone.
