If you don't believe Genesis, you can't believe the rest of The Bible.

many will say they believe in genesis, but its not the literal view, but the Thestic evolutionary/quasi myth form!

    Theistic evolution is pure heresy.

Were there at least 700,000 beetles on the ark, as the minimum number of species is 350,000? And speciation from a far fewer number would be evolution.

Are you claiming this says Noah warned people of the coming flood? It does not.

Check Scripture--it says kind, not species. It is genetic principles. Genetics explains all the different levels of melaextonin from only 8 people, for example. So Noah would only need representation from kinds of beetles--I'm thinking there were 4 of them.

The old definition of ‘species’ or the new?
When I was growing up a species was an animal group that could breed and reproduce fertile offspring. Now two finches with local adaptations interbreed and their offspring are heralded as a brand new species and proof of “evolution” in only a single generation. By the old definition, all “domestic dogs” are one species and by the new definition, every “breed” is a unique species. So did Noah have to carry two of every breed of Dog and cat and cow and sheep ...?

    Do beetles breathe?

Adam wrote a book and it was passed down to Noah and then to Moses.

We're told the Flood covered the tops of the highest mountains. The presumption is thinking that Mt. Everest was there in Noah's day.

We're told of the preaching of Noah. That is as much about a warning to flee the judgment to come as Exodus 3:6 is about the Resurrection.

I didn't claim a thing. I simply quoted Scripture. But apparently you think you can read my mind. :p

Noah preached righteousness. He told people to get right with God. I fully believe that many were saved through his preaching contrary to those who put Noah up as an example of fruitless evangelism. However, by the time Noah and his family climbed into that ark, no one was left who truly believed in God except he and his family.

...claiming "the author was speaking about stuff he had no knowledge of" is not what I said. This Calvinist edits posts to corrupt the intended message, much like Calvinism corrupts scripture.

I accept what the Bible says, but I try not to add to it by speculating. I did not say the flood was local, but that it covered the known world, however big that might be.

Now lets turn to the argument "all" means everything imaginable because God inspired the text, and God knows everything imaginable. When the text says the whole world is going after Christ, did that include those who had never heard of Him. Of course not. So your argument is as weak as the assertion.

Genesis 7:19-20 best explains the extent of The Flood

"And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high mountains, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. Fifteen cubits above did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered."

Note, "the high mountains, that were under the WHOLE heaven, were covered", and "15 cubits" (23 FEET) from the top of the HIGHEST peak! If the heavens can be seen from ANYWHERE in the world, then this means WORLD-WIDE!

[YYYYAAAAWWWNNN.] :Cautious You see 'Calvinism boogeymen' everywhere, don't you? :Cautious
    Paranoid, much?

... Go back and read your own post. You suggested that omniscient God didn't really mean all the mountains in the world when He inspired "under heaven" because the "author" was only speaking about those mountains that he knew about. Then you refused to answer the question "Who is the author of Genesis? God or Moses?" So any confusion stems from your "anti-Calvinist" refusal to answer simple questions when pontificating false statements.

Yes, the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the known earth and all the known high mountains, that were under the whole heaven were covered.
