If Trump thinks he won by a landslide even though he didn't, maybe he thinks other false things as well. Like flag burners don't have constitutional right of free speech, like Ted Cruz's dad met with Lee Harvey Oswald the day before JFK was shot, like thousands of Muslims celebrated on rooftops of New Jersey on 911, like 2 million illegal votes were cast for Hillary, etc. etc. The capacity for self-deception is not a quality you want in a President of the United States.
I know, I know, Obama this, Hillary that.

Good luck.
And if true, since Trump didn't get 60%, I assume your answer to the OP would be no, Trump did not win by a landslide.

Kinda reminds me of Obama stating on more than one occasion that his administrations had no scandals.
He is completely delusional, but that seems to be what politicians do.
We use to call it spin.
That's what campaign managers do. Spin.
That's their job.
Funny thing about "landslides".
Obama has had 2 of them (maybe).
Yet at the same time his agenda has suffered 4 major election defeats in Congress making him largely ineffective.
So what did his "landslides" really mean?
Personally popular and a political disaster for his agenda.
Name your poison.
There is more to a "landslide" than just the president's personal popularity.

I was not assigning any benefit to the landslide, just asking whether or not one occurred. Didn't bring up Obama scandals either.

57%. Close enough.

I think Salty means 60% of the popular vote constitutes a landslide, not 60% of the electoral college votes.
For Trump's 56.8% of the electoral college votes to be considered a landslide one would have to consider 45 other elections to be landslides as well.

As I said before the election, Hillary couldn't beat Trump and Trump would win big. He in fact did. 306 to 232

I think that, when most people are asked, a landslide is based on popular vote and not electoral vote.
Based on his 2M-margin loss of the popular vote, I do not believe that Trump's win was a landslide.

There is no popular vote for President. The very term is meaningless.
Okay by me.

One might say there was a "landslide" which changed the terrain in several states.

No he did not. We have not had a president win by a landslide since Bush in 88 with 426 electoral votes and 53.4% of the the popular vote.
My primary critera for a landslide victory would have to be winning over 50% of the popular vote.
Trump only got 46.3% of the popular vote, a plurality not a majority.
Also it helps if you actually did win in the popular vote not just the electoral vote.
And if you are going to look at the Electoral college I think you need to hit at least 400 in the electoral vote which he did not do either.

Given ALL the predictions of Trumps imminent failure in the debates, the primaries, the general election and the recounts - 1 vote over would be a LANDSLIDE!

At this hour Donald Trump has 304 votes cast by the electoral college in spite of the heart wrenching pleas of traumatized Democrats to be a Republican electorate college TURNCOAT and vote for Hillary!
Ya right!
