    When the democrats went to the grave yards in texas - it was to find voters not politicians.

    I thought Ashcroft had also lost an election to a dead man just before Bush appointed him Attorney General.

    Yep, I believe it was Mel Carnahan. Bush saved Ashcroft's hiney from obscurity by appointing him Atty General.
