Acts 13:48 is proved true in your life.

And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

    Context Austin context
Act 13:43 Now when the meeting of the synagogue had broken up, many of the Jews and of the God-fearing proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the grace of God.
Act 13:44 The next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of the Lord.
Act 13:45 But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, and were blaspheming.
Act 13:46 Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.
Act 13:47 "For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.'"
Act 13:48 When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

The meaning of this word must be determined by the context. The Jews had judged themselves unworthy of eternal life: the Gentiles, as many as were disposed to eternal life, believed. By whom so disposed, is not here declared: nor need the word be in this place further particularized. We know, that it is GOD who worketh in us the will to believe, and that the preparation of the heart is of Him: but to find in this text pre-ordination to life asserted, is to force both the word and the context to a meaning which they do not contain.
    Henry Alford's The Greek Testament

Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The gentiles heard the gospel message and believed that message and so put their trust in the risen Christ for salvation.

If they were disposed, its because they had been born again, and had new spiritual constitution and desire for the sincere milk of the word.

    James 1:17-18

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

You keep playing your silly games over and over. It really is time you grow up.

I have answered your question a number of times you just do not like the answer. That is your problem not mine. The bible is clear but since it does not fit with your calvinist philosophy you dismiss the truth of scripture.

These verses seem to fit your theology well. Scripture is not your authority.
Mar 7:6 He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME.
Mar 7:7 AND IN VAIN THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.'

Jas 1:18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

As per usual you ignore context {Acts of the Apostles 13:43-48} and search for a verse {James 1:18} you think will support your view. But all you have done is show that those that hear the word and believe the word are saved. (Ephesians 1:13) You know the same as we are told in (Romans 10:17) "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."

BF you need to start trusting scripture for what it says not what you think or need it to says.

You are afraid to stand up clearly for your inner thoughts on the death of Christ, and whether or not in and of itself it saved them He died for. Yes or No please !

BF I have answered that question a number of times but you just do not like the answer. The bible is clear and yet you deny what it says, why is that?

Rom 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Rom 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Rom 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

BF is scripture your authority Yes or No? If you say YES then why do you not accept what it says? If you says NO then why would you call yourself a Christian?

BF your trusting in your calvinism rather than the bible. Your false theology says one has to be saved before they can believe but the bible says one has to believe before they are saved.

Romans 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.."
Ephesians 1:13 "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,"

BF if you hold to your view of saved before believe and that God has to give you this faith so you can believe then all those that are in hell have a valid excuse. They were not given that faith so how could the believe? You have just made God a liar as He says He wants all to come to repentance 1Timothy 2:3-4 and yet denies them the faith to do so.

@Sliverhair, always twisting truth to fit his humanism. Never being willing to accept God's full supremacy in all things Always imagining himself as ruler. Ignore Sliverhair as one who speaks falsely and will answer to God.

BF the more you say on here the clearer it becomes that the words of Christ in Mark 7:7 "AND IN VAIN THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.' " really do apply to you. You have been show numerous scriptures that point out your view is wrong and you still trumpet your calvinism. You just prove over and over that the bible is not your authority, your calvinism is.
