Being named a Catholic Saint
Being recognized as a Roman Catholic Saint is a long road.
Methods have changed over the past 17 centuries.
Currently one part of the canonization is evidence of one miracle. Since miracles are considered proof that the person is in heaven and can intercede for us. (bold emphasis mine)
Would you consider this idolatry? The RC church says no, because it nothing more than a person carrying a picture of person in their wallet.
Thoughts?

Google keying into your "Christian" status?
I just started posting on this forum about a month ago - hadn't really posted on any Christian forums at all. Well today I do a google search related to jquery (a web programming language) and I get I side column in Google of pictures of three individuals under the heading, "People and Pages related to jquery". Well, I had never seen before any pictures of private arbitrary people posted like that in Google. Wondering if its related to these banner ads being run by Google recently... -
To RCC member/Why Would RCC be Correct and the Mormons Wrong?
since BOTH churches claim to be the TRUE Church upon this earth, both have apostles, and extra biblical sources cited...
Why would we consider either more right than the other one to cliam tht distinction? -
Church of the Nazarene vs. Anglican
This is a purely personal thread, but I would like to get some thoughts and opinions, precisely because of the diversity of people on this forum.
If there were only two churches within driving distance of your home, which of these two would you choose to attend and why: a Church of the Nazarene, or a break-away Anglican Church?
I'm very interested in feedback on this, and I hope Baptists and non-Baptists will respond. -
what Roles Does Limbo/Purgatory Do In the RCC?
Are boths tillheld, and what roles do they represent ? -
To Sin or Not
Does the lost ever commit any action that is not sinful? Do the lost ever do anything that would be considered Christ like? -
Love of "the brethren"
What I have disturbingly seen from years of participation on Christian forums is a lack of love for believers who hold to divergent positions on various doctrines.
I have never seen such mean-spirited people as I have seen among supposed Christians.
I understand even better than in years past what Jesus meant when he talked about the narrow way and there being few who find it.
I can say this with certainty: There are many who claim the name of Christ who will not see heaven if... -
An Inclusivist Church
Despite my running battles with The Biblicist and others over Calvinism, I would not wish to exclude those who believe this way from my church. As I have stated, my mom believes in OSAS. Also, even though I do not hold to the Pentecostal/Charismatic interpretation of baptism in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues, I would not want to exclude a person who believes this from my church. My oldest sister, though raised a Baptist, is now a Pentecostal.
I am passionate about my beliefs in... -
per The RCC, WHAT aspect of salvation is lacking in cross of Christ?
Why additional sacramental graces needed, IF jesus paid it all, all to Him we owe?
Or was there sin that His death failed to atone for, and we have to cover that part in order to be saved by God? -
Charles Stanley on Eternal Security
Charles Stanley may be the only Southern Baptist who was a part of the so-called "conservative resurgence" that I can listen to. Indeed, I have been blessed many times by his sermons.
But some things he has said and believes I just can't take -- the following, for instance:
"Even if a believer for all practical purposes becomes an unbeliever, his salvation is not in jeopardy… believers who lose or abandon their faith will retain their salvation."
And this: "The Bible clearly...
