    I know.

Who, oh who, would be so NASTY towards another Bible translator?

    Any guesses?

It's from the preface of Beza and Calvin's Bible de Genève.

The competing version the Geneva elders tried to smear as a work of the Devil is this man's:

    Here it is again:
    Sick.

When you read the context, what did it say?

When the Scripture said THIS, you can't say THERE.

Well, almost 10 pages and no one has proven that a Bible translation is a work of the devil, although we can agree that there are some less than sterling examples out there of Bible translation work.

So I guess that means we can finally lay this old 'God only has one Bible' stuff to rest and get back to living and using (and in some cases, abusing:smilewinkgrin:) our Bibles instead of debating them.

I asked if there was another way to be saved than by grace through faith.

    No answer?

There's at lease ONE "translation" that clearly has the devil's backing-the JWs' "New World Translation". In 1950, one Freddie Franz(who would later become big kahoona of the watchtower) and his buddy George gangas, a Greek Cypriot, sat down with the British Revised Version and re-worded(not re-translated) it to fit JW doctrines, re-named it, since its copyright was expired, and told their fellow JWs, "Here's YOUR Bible!"

As for Askjo, just Ask Jo to provide SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT for KJVO and watch him out-waffle Bisquick or go silent.

Talk about very little value in 10 pages.
