Canada seal hunt today.....

The earth's climate is now in the warming part of its cycle. There's nothing we can do about it.

 

I think climate change is the correct term to use Ken, global warming is the term for those that would like the U.S.A to sign away even more sovereignty to the UN through The Kyoto Protocol.

 

Your first post on the subject was excellent, as well.

I agree with you on this one, Poncho!

 

I just watched a video of some of these baby seal killers using their boat as a battering ram against folks observing their activities - and observation is legal.

If anyone had any doubt as to the kind of people engaging in this baby seal killing all doubt should now be removed.

Who is worse, those who club baby seals, or those who sell meth to adults?

 

The adult can refuse to buy meth. The baby seal can't refuse to be killed.

 

I wonder how many of the folks who get teary eyed about the suffering of baby seals give a **** about the practice of abortion:

1. Babies dismembered in the womb for easy removal,
2. Babies scalded in the womb with saline solution,
3. Babies delivered to expose the back of the neck to be killed and the brain suctioned out for easy completion of the process.

I agree with what you say about seals. However, face it, Canada would likely be up **** creek without a paddle if it were not for trade with the US.

Apparently the people that readily except the UN Earth Charter like the U.S. Conference of Mayors and other major politicians willing to sign us back into UNESCO like George Bush don't. The Earth Charter clearly puts the rights of animals over those of humans. It even puts the rights of insects and trees over humans.

For the record, Ken, I agree with you that it is a barbaric practice. My wish is that Canada would ban it but it's their country. And I do agree with banning the importation of their hides/furs from countries which allow this or don't enforce prohibition of it.
