    Good Morning Everyone!

This morning will be spent getting a variety of stuff seen to so I can go smock this afternoon.

I have two here with migraines. Ugg. Chris' is no big surprise since he's had one solid for at least three weeks now with only a couple of days without and he probably overdid things by staying at school all day yesterday and then going to the dentist and karate. He's going to spend the day getting makeup work done. Cass is going to have to figure out what she did/has been doing that is causing this sudden influx of migraines. There has to be something different cause she went for over two month without one and then boom, she's back to at least one a week.

I haven't posted the school countdown lately but: Only 11 days of school left! Yay!

Gotta go get at it, see ya later!

11 Days of school?? I WISH!! We go to school until just about the end of June here in NY. I'm working on wrapping up on school with Robby although we're going to be doing some of the classes over the summer because I let them slide - history, science, spelling and Bible. I don't know how it all happened but it takes quite a large part of the day to just get the basics done - along with the rest of life. Fortunately, next year Joanna will be home too so we'll have full days at home now - and it will be easier to keep up with the schoolwork. Taking her to preschool 3 days a week and working one day really cut into our time. But Robby's reading and doing well in school so that's what's important. :D

Today is just homeschooling and housework. I went through Joanna's clothes for the summer - and now I just have to figure out how to store all these clothes! I think we have too many - I many have to purge some of them but then again, I need atleast 2 weeks worth of clothes for our sailing trip in August. UGH! I'll have to see what I'm going to do.

Well, have a wonderful day all! Today should hit 75 so it will be beautiful! I have the laundry on the line and the windows are going to be opened in another degree or two. LOL!!

Oh - I also need to run to the barn at some point today - Whirl decided to be a goon yesterday and in the process cut his back leg pretty badly. He wouldn't even let me run cold water on it! But I treated it and wrapped it and his owner should take care of it today - I just want to be sure it's OK. Sometimes he can be such a jerk.

    Good evening all,

I got three more sheets of paneling up today, plus working on the corner. I'm tired!

Brent was fine one minute (about 2 hours ago) and the next minute his temperature spiked to 102.5º. He has a slight headache, the chills, and he's not hungry. That is not like him at all. I imagine he's got a flu bug. He hasn't been sick all winter. I am pumping him full of Sprite.

I am keeping my eye on his temperature too. When he was little, he would seize when his temp got high. I don't know if he has outgrown it or not because he has been pretty healthy since I've had him.

If it goes up to 103º, we will be making a trip to the Emergency Room. I've already called him off school tomorrow.

If you think about it, please say a little prayer for him tonight.

Thanks everyone and have a pleasant evening.

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 63 degrees here with thunderstorms, headed for a high of 70 today.

Praying for Sue and Brent right now.

Correction: When I was describing how different the CGCH was yesterday I described Cindi & Tanya as our "Material Girls." I should have added that I meant knitting material. Apologies Ladies, I didn't mean to lump you in with the likes of Madonna.

To partially attone for my gaffe I brought in breakfast this morning so Cindi and Tanya don't have to cook. In Tanya's delicate condition I know that the smell, and sometimes the sight, of food can cause an immediate reaction. In Cindi's delicate condition the thought of food(cooking it that is) can also cause a sudden upheaval (as in refusing to cook.) Today is Sausage-Apple Quiche, Sausage Scramble, Oven Breakfast Hash, and Skillet Sausage with Potatoes and Rosemary. Enjoy.

    Not much going on today.

You're busier than a bee, Sue! Glad to hear the work is going well.

So sad to hear that Brent isn't well. :( Saying a prayer for him now.

    Thanks for breakfast, Rob.

    HAGD all ... :wavey:

LOL, Rob! I may have to put that on a T-shirt! This cooking thing is getting way out of hand. We had a reception last Sunday evening for our outgoing music minister. When I brought in a couple of trays of food, someone actually thought that I had cooked it AND spent all day at it! (it was actually just a chips and dip and a cheese ball and crackers from Wally world) Of course I quickly set those dear folks straight, but I don't think I can handle to many incidents of the sort. ;)

Good morning everyone! I got off track reading on the silent women thread, but thankfully before I could get in too deep into the silence, my neighbor called and rescued me with an invitation to coffee.

I'll be in and out today as I have nothing special planned for the day except an appointment at 10 for a costume alteration and doing homework with Chris.

Sue, why is it fevers always spike at night forcing us to the ER! Grrr!

    See ya!

    Good morning all,

Brent's fever is gone this morning! That is weird. He still has a bit of a headache, and is a little stuffed up, but is eating a light breakfast.

I kept him home from school anyway, 'cause he wouldn't have had that high a temp unless his body was fighting some type of infection.

It's odd how it appeared suddenly and went away just as suddenly. He also has a backache this morning, for some reason.

He was so excited about turning his school project in today (bug collection) and now he will have to wait until tomorrow. He worked very hard with a little help from 'The Gram'.

Here is how it turned out:

I've already been to the corner and it is time to grab my 'tool belt'.

    Have a good day all!

Sue glad to hear that Brent is better this morning. :jesus:

What'd he do come down with a "bug" from his collection? Great collection by the way.

    Good night all,
I missed all the fun today-oh well, I was busy having fun with a group of kindergarteners! Dad's foot and leg have stopped healing, the docs are not agreeing on a course of treatment. It is driving me nuts. I went to the doc for my headaches today- my jaws are both swollen and I am on a soft foods only diet. The doc said if I can't mash it with a fork or put it in a straw I can't have it. Hopefully the meds will work and I can get back to eating some real foods again soon. Church tonight was good. We have a family in my hometown who lost their 16 year old over the weekend. She had a diving accident. Her memorial service is tommorrow. Please keep the Hallmark family in your prayers. I had better go, see y'all tommorrow!

    Good morning all!

It is 66º heading for a high of 85º with sunny skies.

Brent is fine (I guess - his temp is down to 96º now!). We are taking Brent's Bug Barn to school this morning. I will certainly be happy to get those critters out of my living room!!!

He will be having tests today and he missed the reviews yesterday, so I hope he does well on them. School is winding down. I believe there are 10 actual days of school left.

I didn't get any paneling done yesterday with Brent having a headache and laying on the couch all day. I don't know if I'll get any done today or not. I'm getting worn out.

Coffee is on. Sorry I don't have time to bring in breakfast, but Rob or Cindi should be here soon.

    Have a good day all!

Good Morning Everybo.....uhhhh, where'd everybody go? Boy, is this place quiet when nobody's here.

It's supposed to be sunny and 80 here today.

I brought in French Toast, Omlettes, Bacon, Sausage, and Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. Enjoy. Now I'm going to open the windows in the CGCH kitchen, and aim the fans past the food and toward the homes of the CGCH inhabitants. Just so the thought of breakfast gets "scent" to everybody.

    Good morning all,
    Rob: Breakfast sounds wonderful!
It is partly sunny and 66 here. I think the forecast calls for a high in the mid 70's. It should be a nice day except for the storms that are coming. My power hasn't gone out in a couple of days due to the storms. I heard a storm this morning early but it didn't last long. Well, I had better go check on my neices. My sis is working on painting her house. All she lacks is the ceilings and trim. Hopefully the carpet will get put in next week and the finishing touches can be done as well. She is bound and determined to finish before she goes back to work from maternity leave so I have the two neices who are 2 and the baby! Y'all have a blessed day!

Praying for you, your dad, and the Hallmark family now, islandgirl.

Take today off and rest, Sue! And when dinner and Brent's homework is done,
take a trip to the ice cream shop for a sweet treat. It's a nice day for it, and you DESERVE it!

    Thanks for breakfast, Rob! :wavey:

Hi ya .....it was wettish when I left work....it rained for 2 minutes....my oh my

A miracle happened to me last evening...I worked at a different hospital for fun and profit, and mentioned in passing about my old South African buddy who had completely disappeared.....and then she was there, I was so excited and shocked and thankful....Freda is safe and sound and has come back to Oz to earn some more money to help her folks back home, her homeland is in such a mess......please spare a thought and pray for Africa.

Will have a proper get together over the weekend:godisgood:
