Well good morning! Or afternoon, wherever you are.

Today we'll have a high of zero degrees. There's no little negative sign in front of today's number. WHOO HOO!

Nothing too exciting here. I have an appt. to check up on the peripheral neuropathy thing, will stop on the way home as long as I'm downtown and get some stuff needed for an interview of a couple out here. Looking forward to this one, the story is on a local couple raising a homeland security puppy.

Then I gotta decide what's for dinner!
My youngest is bustling around and getting ready for school, she's the last one off. I had to stop the second one and make her cry. Mean mom that I am, I forced her to put on a hat and her snowpants, although she did escape without her heavy gloves. BRAT! LOL Twenty below and she tries to get out the door every morning without me seeing her, but occasionally I scare the tar out of her and yell "CLOTHING INSPECTION!" When I do that you can see the steam start coming out her ears. I tried making her pay me for every time she didn't dress right, but she found it worth it. LOL
Gotta love this place though! Got teenagers, and don't have to worry about them trying to sneak out in short skirts or tank tops or anything, instead they try to sneak out with thin gloves instead of heavy ones, sneakers instead of boots, etc.. I did give her extra lunch money and that made her a little happier. It was from the money she had to pay me for not wearing her warmer stuff anyhow...ya know, this could really work! I pay them for their chores and stuff, make them pay me for not dressing right, give it back to them for school stuff...if I do this right I can allot 20 dollars each, keep recycling it like this, back and forth, and we could keep working the majority of the $20 dollars over and over with only occasionally having to put more in for when it actually gets spent outside the home. ROFL

Good luck recycling that $20, Gina. Teenagers are just plain expensive! I gotta get out and get mine some cash sometime today. Had to give her some of Chris' cash for lunch money! (he doesn't know that yet so shhh!)

    Good morning everyone. Sort of.

I mean its not a bad morning, but I could feel better and have more energy and I just don't! Jenna's birthday is Friday and I don't even feel like cleaning the house. I'll have too. But I won't do it willingly!

Yep. Seems I'm having a lazy spell. Oh well. It'll pass soon and I'll be back to my hyper self.

Ya'll have a good day. Don't let the storms catch you unaware if you live anywhere east of the Mississippi from the coast to south Michigan. They are supposed to hit here in a couple of hours. Looks like we'll get missed again right where we are in Al. North of Alabama looks worse.

Yep MK, they are, but they're also so fun! I really enjoy these girls and have been very blessed.

The neurology appointment went very well! The Lyrica medication is doing a great job. The EMG test will be done soon to see what's new. Good thing I got over my fear of needles! (they stick needles into your muscles and send an electrical pulse through them to test responses)

There's nothing much more exciting to report! Ooooh, I did go to Fred Meyer to find my daughter a birthday present I wanted to get her. They didn't have it, but they had a ton of stuff on clearance for 50% off the lowest price and MAN there were some awesome deals! I got the other birthday daughter a Tinkerbell watch, got all of them Valentine's Day socks, and got myself two pairs of earrings. It shocked me! LOL! It's the only jewelry I'll wear and the holes were starting to close, and I knew that out here there would probably never be a chance to get gold studs for only five bucks, so they're MINE now. WHOO HOO! I also bought myself push pins. The kids teased me when I got back...told me I really went all out for myself, and joked that I probably stood there debating over whether to get the big packet of push pins for my board or the small ones. They were right. ROFL I got the small ones...couldn't bring myself to get the bigger package and pay the extra 75 cents when I figured I didn't really need them.
I'm a cheapo. Oh well. I can take the harassment, hehe!

    Good morning, everyone!

I've been too busy to be online lately, due to unseasonably warm weather. We were part of the winter food distribution, clothing/coat drive, and a lot of work in our yard. Things are looking much better, but my muscles are sore!

I brought my pregnant prodigal goat home and we're waiting for her kid(s).

It's turned cold and rainy again, so I'm in by the fire. Today will be a deep cleaning day since the house has not been tended much in the last week or 2. The dust is bad!

Chicken noodle soup on the stove.

    Have a good day, everyone!

    MOOSE!

Got some decent pics of one in the backyard this morning! She's still there munching at stuff!

If you're a friend on facebook you know where to find them! If not, I clicked the thing to make them viewable by anyone. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=1581853168&ref=name

If that doesn't work for you who aren't on there, let me know and I'll put them on myspace and link that.

Spinach, I missed something! Prodigal goat?! Where did you find her, and how did she escape?

Jeepers - we got a notice in the mailbox early in the week that today we'd have our power shut off from 9AM to 3PM. They came and dropped off a very large something at the bottom of our driveway (the access to the underground lines is right at the end of our driveway) then drove off. I was waiting to have it turned off all day but it never came. Of course the 50+ mph winds might have had something to do with it - they had bigger fish to fry today. That means tomorrow while I'm out of the house all day, we'll lose the power. That's fine with me. :)

So now it's time to have dinner (meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli and gravy) then watch the first SURVIVOR of this new season! Woo-hoo!!

Fantastic pix Gina! Thanks for sharing.

Ann, we heard in the news about the huricane force winds in NYC. I only got the tail end of it, but one of the reporter said that "a building" (I did not hear it all) was actually swaying in the wind???? Wow! :type:

So long as it sways, genrally it will not break..That is what we were taught in architecture about bridges...........I would rather drive around just the same...

We had a lot of melting to-day, but it quickly turned to snow again tonight..I hope it isn't much. I am ready to mow the turf.

    Cheers,

    Good Morning Everybody,

YAAAYYY!!! It's Friday. The Gkids are better, no more pink eye. They have to go back to the doc's today so he can examine them and give them an excuse to go back to school. This past week has been like a taste of summer with the Gkids all under foot.

Speaking of taste of summer, it warmed up to almost 60 for two days in a row, but now we're back down in the 30s with a forecast of some snow for Saturday.

Praying that you feel better Sue. Despite Barnabas' suggestion we will all behave while you're laid up. Nothing worse than an angry Administrator with a rolling pin and the will and the aim to use it.

You must really be sick Cuz, for you to have no energy. Praying you feel better.

Glad Valentine's Day is coming. Being sick and being cooped up with sick Gkids all week is no fun. Brenda and I are going to get away for the weekend to celebrate and recuperate.

I brought in Waffles, Bacon and Sausage, and Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. Enjoy.

    Morning all!

Thanks for the prayers and the 'good behavior' on the part of some of you. ;P

I am feeling much better. Another week and I should be 100% or close to it.

Prayers going up to the families of the 49 people who were killed in that tragic plane crash in NY.

    Back to the couch now,
    §ue (getting bed sores!)

Sue I'm glad to hear you are better. Now get well!! :D

Cuz, I gave up and was just lazy for the rest of Wednesday. Sure enough, I woke up Thursday with more than enough energy to clean the house, the critter cages, take Cass shopping for Dale, go to a friends house and pick up NEW cages for two of the critters, come home and rehouse them, cook dinner AND eat plenty of the Girl Scout cookes that T brought in last night. :D

Today we spent playing hooky from school and work. T too. Jenna stayed home all day and I checked Cass out at 11:30. Then we all went to lunch at the local Chinese buffet (b'day girl's choice!), hit the video game store, helped Walmart make payroll and now we are in the middle of a gang giggling 10 and 11 year old girls who are spending the night in celebration of Jen's b'day. (actually there are only 4 including Jen but they are making enough noise for a whole gang!)

Is is any wonder I'm hiding out at the computer?

I had to come on here and post about this! The northern lights tonight were AMAZING! I just got back inside about 15 minutes ago from watching them dance through the night sky on a background of stars, fading out, coming back, streaking across, fanning out in emerald green...our God is AWESOME! What a Creator!

And if you want pictures? No way. There are some things you just stand there and thank God for letting you watch.

I've seen them before, but not like that!

Thanks for the wake up call Gina! We were up bright and early, but waited for the rain to stop, and then we went out for lunch. Got a call from our daughter, Cathy, to join them at the basket ball game for Tori, our granddaughter. She scored two points, but Cathy forgot to run her video. However, earlier, which we did not see live, our grandson, Micah, who will be 7 in April, has thrown a beautiful basket. We have a video of that on Facebook - he is #7 (the link below). All in all we had a great day so far - almost as great as you did by watching the Northern Lights. :)

That was a beautiful toss by Micah! You may not have the Northern lights, but it sure looks like you have a star on your hands!

Ok boys and girls, here are some goat videos for you to enjoy! Barnabas, the grandkids might find these amusing!

Make sure you watch this first one, then watch the second one!

Very interesting - especially the second version of the fainting goats. But my favorite is the third one..... :)

By the way, is this what you see in Alaska?

Yes, but I haven't seen it nearly that dramatic yet as in those first two videos. That third video of just pictures is more like the colors I've seen...lots of green and white. At first glance you'd think they were clouds sometimes until you watch the pattern.
Last night was the best display I've seen, with the most action, but it still wasn't near those first two videos. It'll be nice when I catch them doing THAT, for sure!

That must be so amazing Gina! That's one thing I hope to see before I die - the Northern Lights. :)

A quiet day here. I had to cover for 2 people today at church so it was a busy morning and now I'm honestly just lazy. I want to lay down and maybe watch some TV. I have no desire to even cook tonight and I might just make the kids some hot dogs then get some take-out for Bob and I later from the Greek place.

This week should be a quiet week. Lauren still has college but Nicole is off from high school all week. I'm going to do homeschooling light - and I have some projects to do for work but otherwise, quiet days.

LOL - DH just called me and told me to be quiet. We snuck upstairs where my 8 year old is playing on the computer and he's singing worship songs. He was belting out some parts. It was SOOOOO cute!! I love kids.

Well, off to the couch!! Enjoy today!

Valentine's Day was quite nice. Dh's meetings had been canceled, so he was home. I ran to the store so I could make lasagna, garlic bread, and cheesecake. On holidays, I have a tradition of ruining supper, but this holiday actually went well. YAY!

The weather is icky and I'm coming down with a head cold. It's just what I always wanted. UGH!

I'm gonna go get a tangerine. Help yourselves!
