All my clothes have made it into the washer but I still have 2 loads to dry and I'm not even thinking of ironing today. I feel pretty rotten and that's not a good time to stand over a hot ironing board.

I'd love to sneak in a nap today but I have to pick up Max and Morgan at 2:45 at two different schools. The girls are not coming today but tomorrow. Mom had to swap her days off because of a dentist appointment. Thankfully (since I feel so rotten) Ty (2 1/2) is on vacation until Wed. morning at 5:30! Hope I feel better before then.

Barnabas, is New York swamped? Our new preacher will be there Sept. 11th and then he and his wife are heading out on a tour/ cruise for their 30th anniversary celebration.

Now, Barnabas ! You KNOW I would never do anything bad!!! [IMG]

I am off to pick up my other 10-year-old grandson, Seth, to spend the night. We will then pick up the papers, roll them, go to 'the corner' and then deliver papers.

Thank goodness my laundry is done (not the ironing though - I decided it can wait until tomorrow). :D

Brent did the dishes for me today. I made BBQ out of left-over pot roast, made cole slaw and kidney bean salad, so my supper is taken care of too! [IMG]

I have been offered another paper route - in addition to the one I already have. It is 50 papers and is in town. I am seriously considering it.

The only problem I have is whether I can do 'my corner' and still have both routes (140 papers) delivered by 5:00 on the week-days.

I've been busy woodburning a walking stick. Cheryl says it smells like a campfire. I thought it would be quick and easy, but it has turned out to be long and tedious. I'm going to finish one for sure. [IMG]

    Good morning all:

Now I know how Dr.B. feels talking to himself in here!!!

It is a pleasant 59º with humidity at 94%. We are expecting plenty of sunshine and a high of 80º.

Next Monday, my sister and her husband will be celebrating 56 years of marriage! That's a LONG time...She is 74 and he is 76.

    Cruising,

    Good Morning Sheila:

Are you all packed and ready for your trip? When exactly are you leaving?

Morning all, I went to bed really early last night. My cold had zapped any energy and tomorrow Ty returns at 5:30 a.m. I was in bed 11 hours but woke many times during that for short periods. I do feel some better today but don't have much of a voice.

I haven't been able to talk with Jim since he left for his first day of work and trip to Washington. We disconnected our cells phones when we lost our income and his plane didn't land until well after 10 p.m. last night. I tried calling this morning but they'd already left for training. Maybe I can catch him tonight. I'm used to talking with him quite a bit. :(

I don't know Jim's class schedule so I don't know if he'll get to see our grandson this week. It's awful that he can be just 19 miles from their house and not be able to play with Jack!!

Glad you're feeling better Sue! I'm trying to get well before you get here, Sheila so you don't catch any colds! LOL

HEY! THIS IS 14,000 FOR ME!

Catching a cold 6 or 7 thousand miles from would not be a good thing, would it? ;)
Sheila, I hope y'all have a wonderful time on your trip!!

Hopefully the kids and I will be able to make it, but it's still up in the air , . . . .

    Gayla,

Thank you. [IMG] Still some last minute packing to do. Rob likes to organise the packing. :D How someone has booked wonderful weather for our time over there. We are hoping we can go to church on Wednesday nights too. That hardly happens over here.

    Blessings

    Sheila

Diane, we rarely get colds. Must be all the cheese and onion sandwiches we eat. :D Taxi is now booked for 5 am Friday to take us to the coach station. The youngest of our group is just 16 months old and he is a darling. Will be interesting on the plane I think. :D
