You can Duh all you want to sport but read the Scripture you reference until you understand what it says!

    Romans 5:18, 19
    18. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

You apparently are pushing eternal justification which is not Biblical!

I figured as much. There was someone earlier who believed that. Could they be one and the same?

When did you become divine? Were you born that way or did you earn it like the Mormons with silly statements like that above?

Sorry, did not notice you said:
Is that the royal "we", the plural "we", or the "we-we"?

You would do well to consider what the Apostle Paul said before time passes you by!

1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

God is the savior of ALL...but ESPECIALLY the elect.

While I believe Calvinism is biblical, this hyper-Calvinism thing (what SBM is spewing) is heretical.

Does believing play a part in Salvation ? 4

Since and because True Spiritual Believing is by and through Grace, the Grace of the Spirit working effectually in us, thats why men can have no occasion to boast, men dont even have a platform to boast, because believing is not of their own doing, as the efficient cause of it, but its the Gift/ Grace of God. Now if I believe the Gospel volitionally and another doesnt who had the equal opportunity, what makes me to differ ? Why its the Grace of God, plain and simple. It was abundant towards me giving Faith and Love as testified by Paul 1 Tim 1:13-14

13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Paul is not unique in receiving mercy, all the elect do Rom 11:32

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Note: When God has mercy upon us, it is then we receive mercy !

We must believe because we are saved, simply because we cannot believe in a lost state, #1 To believe is Faith and Faith Pleases God Heb 11:6 and #2 the unsaved person in the flesh cannot please God Rom 8:8 ! So believing is essential to Salvation to be the evidence of it, and to Praise God for His Saving Grace !

    Duh,

You referenced Romans 5:18 but you obviously don't understand it!

Romans 5:18. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

By the offense of Adam: judgement came upon all men to condemnation!

By the righteousness of Jesus Christ: the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

So you are telling this Forum that all men are justified.

(don't forget to point out the inverse principle here: the verse says condemnation on all men, and free gift on all men ... if the gift is on all *elected* men, then the inverse must hold true that the condemnation is on all *elected* men ... otherwise, the first part of the scripture must be inferred to mean condemnation on all *non-elect* men ... which is patently injecting meaning into the verse, rather than letting the verse speak for itself ... but hey, I'm evading and rabbit-trailing, sorry .....)

(oh, and OR? I like ya, even if we're not exactly on the same side of the calvinist issue; but I think you're wasting your time (Proverbs 26:4)....)

I tried to tell him that justification of life is physical resurrection. And that is for every person ever born.

Earlier in the chapter, Paul says - having been justified by His blood (death), we shall be saved (from physical death) by HIS life (resurrection)

Thanks! I knew from other posters that there was some principle that applied here but my mind just couldn't drag it up.

In all honesty I don't believe he reads/listens to anything anyone else says. And he constantly expresses doubt about the salvation of anyone who disagrees with him.

No Don.....the inverse is not true

all in Adam get there by physical birth.....all men

all In Christ get there by new birth only....not all men

Yes, it is all men. Paul was writing about physical death and resurrection. GO back to the beginning of the chapter. 3 times he wrote...Having Been Justified, Having Been Reconciled. Also, in 5:5 he mentions having received the Spirit

He finished addressing the Spirit birth by verse 10.

Look at the parallels in 1Corinthians 15, where Paul told of the gospel - that Jesus died according to the scriptures. Then goes on a long treatise about the resurrection.

Same in Romans The gospel of peace is chapters 1-4. Then he went on to the resurrection, and things to happen at the time of the resurrection

Not sound at all. It confuses the spirit and the body.

All men die physically on account of Adam, and will be raised physically on account of Christ.

The spirit is altogether a different matter
