Fundamentalist view on creation vs. evolution

Light and darkness were made before the sun and moon were created on the 4th day...........when light and dark were made, what was the length of time this happened? Light was made and shone awhile........could that have been years and years? Then dark was made........and there was darkness again......what was the length of time there was darkness?????? Not until the 2 were put together was it called DAY. Man's day is measured by the rotation of the earth which makes one day. Before there was a sun and moon, the light and darkness of that first day could have been million of years, because in God's time, what may be a million years to us, may only be minutes to Him. These first teachings are to inform us of how God created us and how we came to be, and teach us that He is the Creator. Our day, His time, how old is the earth......it's not critical......He created the earth and He created us......it's to let us know WHO HE IS.

 

From an outside viewpoint, presumably including God's point of view, day does not come and go. It is always dawn somewhere on earth. It is always sunset somewhere on earth. It is always midnight somewhere on earth. All at the same time! From the creator's point of view (and there was no other point of view until Adam was created at the last) how can one say there was a coming and a passing of a day?
