This is the part I like best!

"After 35 years in the news/journalism business, from D.C. to Vietnam, I can honestly say that most of the leading Democratic Party politicians and their far-left support groups are traitors to this country. Besides the few who are deceased or out of office, today's DP is loaded with leaders who have sold out this country to the communists, to the Islamofascists and to their egos. Others are just plain stupid, addle-brained and knee-jerk jerks.

(I'll get to the Republicans in a minute).

Joining them in this class of betrayers is the mainstream media, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, CNN and CBS (as we used to say in Vietnam, the Communist Broadcasting System). They have put their hatred for President Bush before the safety and security of the country, and they have severally damaged our security efforts, not only at home, but abroad, and I will give examples to prove my point."

You expect rightwingers to do this kind of thing. It's always a disappointment to see liberals doing it.

By definition, liberals are supposed to be able to understand that the world isn't black and white, and that conservatives aren't automatically evil for disagreeing with them.

At least it used to be that way. One more evidence that there really aren't any liberals or conservatives anymore.

I know what you mean OR those evil liberals still continue to harm our security efforts by leaving the borders open to illegal immigration drug smugglers and killers of our Border Patrol agents. Boy those liberals really get me riled up! Imagine leaving our borders wide open and trying to introduce amnesty plans for criminals and even calling good American patriots like the Minutemen "vigilantes" why, the gall of those liberals. Burns me up too!

Not only that, those evil liberals are selling us out bit by bit to foreign governments to run our ports, like the Chinese and Dubai, even when our military are part of the customers served by these ports.

Problem is, they call themselves Republicans.

And yes, I believe several administrations have been guilty of treason. But our country doesn't impeach for treason anymore and in fact, when someone is caught fighting for the Taliban, they don't even get accused of treason. Treason, like some elected officials have told us about the US Constitution, doesn't apply anymore. Welcome to the NWO.

After over 16 years of being persuaded to register as a Republican , I have finally been conditioned to distrust all Politicians.

That's the new national security strategy LE. The one comfort I take from it is if we are completely surrounded by our enemies at least we won't have to guess where they are.

Yep, welcome to the club Rocko. It's to late to take the blue pill now. [IMG]

Ron Paul is still a trustworthy politician imo.

These are all good points Daisy. People have been arguing over the criteria for classification and declassification for years. I'm certain there are errors on both extremes. I know not everything gets classified for the proper reasons. The fallibility of mankind is work in this arena just as it is in all others.

However, if we're going to have order in our process we have to abide by the rules we put in place that designate those to whom this power is entrusted and those to whom oversight is entrusted. We can not permit just anyone to decide for themselves that something should be released simply because they want or need to know. Secrets need to be kept secret. If the deciders and keepers of secrets aren't making the correct decisions then they need to be replaced.

The correct answer is not to break down and destroy the confidence of the process by selectively revealing whatever someone not entrusted by the people to make those choices deems appropriate. For this reason, all violators should be fully prosecuted.

Paul's points are that he sees the GOP conversion to big government, massive debt, and erosion of our freedoms as Americans.

His "points against" are that he isn't personally loyal to George W. Bush.

He's no longer lonely in that status, among the GOP congressional delegation.

As far as trusting Bush to decide what Americans can and cannot know about their government, no. He's proven himself to be untrustworthy.

And he likes power way too much. The problem is that government already has too many ways to keep an eye on decent Americans, and decent Americans haven't got enough means to keep an eye on their goverment.
