Emmylou did a concert downtown this summer. She was fantastic.

One Particular Harbour is one of my favorite JB discs. I love the song "Twelve Volt Man."

This week I drove all through the DELMARVA Peninsula, and listened to several discs by Mary Chapin Carpenter. I like her latest disc - "The Calling."

BTW, did you see the album by Robert Plant and Allison Krauss on iTunes?

    Regards, hope all is well,

    Hi, BiR.

    Thanks for the kind words.

I like Bruce Hornsby and I like Ricky Skaggs, but not so much together. I didn't really like the duet album they did that much. I liked the duet they did for the Bill Monroe tribute ("Darlin' Corey"), but not so much a whole album full.

Love EmmyLou, too. I think "Roses in the Snow" and "Blue Kentucky Girl" are my favorites, but I also like "Elite Hotel".

"Twelve Volt Man" is one of my favorites, too. In fact, "12Volt_Man" is one of the screen names I use on another message board.

I heard some of the tracks from the new Krauss/Plant record. It was interesting.

Looks like Baptist in Richmond's employer is moving him to the midwest, so I hope I have as much exposure to as much live music as I have here in the Commonwealth.

    Ugh.......

    Regards,

I must be playing this game wrong.

How do you guys listen to 3-4 songs at the same time?

I thought it was the song we were listening to while we were posting.

You can name the song you're listening to or the album you're listening to. Whatever floats your boat. It's more about sharing what you're listening to.

I name four or five at a time because I have a five disc CD changer.

I do too. Music was meant to be played live.

I'll be praying for your situation.

    I remember all my life
Rainin' down as cold as ice
    Shadows of a man
    A face through a window
    Cryin' in the night
    The night goes into

    Mornin', just another day
    Happy people pass my way
    Lookin' in their eyes
    I see a memory
    I never realized
How happy you made me, oh Mandy

Well you came and you gave without takin'
But I sent you away, oh Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shakin'
And I need you today, oh Mandy

Standin' on the edge of time
Walked away when love was mine

Caught up in a world of uphill climbin'
The tears are in my mind
And nothing is rhymin', oh Mandy

    Yesterday's a dream
    I face the mornin'
    Cryin' on a breeze
The pain is callin', oh Mandy

    I have a picture,
    pinned to my wall.
An image of you and of me
And we're laughing and loving it all.
    Look at our lives now,
    Tattered and torn.
    We fuss and we fight
And delight in the tears that we cry until dawn.

    Hold me now,
    warm my heart.
    stay with me,
    let loving start.
    (let loving start)

    You say I'm a dreamer,
    We're two of a kind.
Both of us searching for some perfect world
    We know we'll never find.
So perhaps I should leave here,
    (Yeah yeah)
    Go far away.
But you know that there's no where that I'd rather be
    Than with you here today.

    Hold me now,
    warm my heart.
    stay with me,
    let loving start.
    (let loving start)

You ask if I love you,
    Well what can I say?
    You know that I do
And it isn't just one of those games that we play.
So I'll sing you a new song,
    Please don't cry anymore.
And then I'll ask your forgiveness,
Though I don't know just what I'm asking it for....
