What do I think?

I think that the Americans that stood up and spoke what they believed have been bullied by those too weak to defend the freedom of speech, but that is usually the way it is with bullies.

Maybe she is (this is difficult for me to admit) genuine this time. Maybe she really, really, really doesn't know what she wrote?

It is possible that she is just a northerner, and doesn't have any idea of the double meaning of the words she chose? But, if she really knew what she was writing . . . well that's a horse of a different color.
