Yes, but in common American English, "Ain't" is a word, and "irregardless" and "regardless" mean the same thing.

What really baffles me and yes, kinda drives me crazy, is that, whereas "regardless" is correct but "irregardless" is not, "flammable and "inflammable" mean the same thing, and both are acceptable. Supposedly the later was "phased out" of the English language nearly 40 years ago, but it appears on signage and in people's usage constantly.

I was baffled t'other day when I saw an inflammable garment that was apparently flammable when it went up in flames. Irregardless, I took that and phased out that memory from my mind. But until then it was kinda driving me crazy....

Not a particular word, but an annoying observation- The easiest words in other languages to remember are swear words.

    "I might could do that."

"It's up the road, three, four, five, seven."

    How about the superfluous "that"?

"He's the worst congressman that I know of ... "
"How is it that I'm just hearing about this?"
"Why is it that you can never be on time?"

UGH!! C'mon, people! "That" is not that useful a word!

The local guy training for "The Next Great American Ninja Warrior" uses jogging as part of his training routine.

He said he jogged two miles per day. When asked if he could jog three, five, seven, or ten miles per day, he said, "I might could do that....."

When asked if he could jog twenty miles per, he said, "Not that I know of....."

When asked where his training facility was, he said, "It's up the road about three, five, seven, miles....."

Apparently he's not good at guessing mileage....

He's the worst "mileage guestimator" that I have ever heard of....

Are phrases allowed in this thread? Because I have a few that I hated to hear.

    Sure, I listed some phrases.

If it makes you a happy camper, Git 'er Done!

Listing some phrases isn't hard, it's not like you're boiling the ocean.
